Has the team to much passion for you ? You hanker for the Days of Dave Jones and his band of money grabbing mercenaries. You want the type of player that does not give a shit for the Club his team mates or the supporters ?![]()

I do not hanker for the days of DJ it was time for him to leave but if you think any player (Except maybe Earnie) cares anyless about money and more about Cardiff City than last years bunch then you are seriosuly deluded.
Why do you think we managed to get Gunnarsson, Tayler and Cowie? Because they care4 about CCFC? or the wages on offer?
Its 2011 man. The days of football clubs owned by the local butcher, baker, candle stick maker all chewing the fat over a packet of marigold biscuits in a wodden cladded boardroom, filled with a team of local players busting a gut for their boyhood club are long gone.
What i ask for in any Player is he gives 100% and the likes of Earnie, Conway Cowie gives that, always !!. Put your hand on your heart and tell me Jay always gave 100%. In fact he very rarely gave 50% especially after he got refused his move to Fulham.

Each to their own. I prefer what they give to the team in terms of skill just as much how much effort they put in.
Jay at 50% would give the team more than Earnie at 100%.
Never been one fooled with the badge kissiong run around like a headless chicken type. Give me a Jason Bowen / Jay Bothroyd over a Gareth Stoker / Gareth Ainsworth type.

Seriously, now, im not on a wind up on this one. Jay is superb at this level, I dont think he has what it takes at Prem level week in week out, not as a lone striker anyway, but he has been one of, if not the, best target men in the championship for each of the 3 seasons he spent with us. We are seriously missing his type of footballer, weve got no-one upfront can hold the ball the way he did.
Yes you can question his attitude and his strops, but hes not the first player to behave like that and he wont be the last. You got to take the rough with the smooth with certain players.
