Cardiff City are paying for it because of MET cock ups . It doesn't get mentioned down here but they still have not recovered from not having any control at the West Ham v Millwall game 2 years ago - it was a full blown riot and the MET were totally shown up as they had no control at all

it's not the Cardiff fans fault really , it's the MET who fear being ever shown up like that again .

They got smashed that day ( yes I was there ) and they have never recovered from it

that's the real truth mate

I understand mate I really do.

Just hope we repeat the game when wolves banned us,thanks to moxey he ate his words after we turned em over  [/quote]

Pah, hogwash! It was a bloody good put-on by everyone especially Earnie and Huds if there was an agender hidden amongst tonight's meet n greet!

The atmosphere and flow of the evening was quite loose and friendly with some good questions - some quite direct too - with only Jenkins issuing a couple of 'diplomatic' responses (perhaps, as expected).

Yes, I see Malky has the gift to make a speech when put on the spot but neither he nor anyone else made any promises for the season ahead, just an ambition (sic) to play to their best each week whatever the full-time result might be. Who could ask for more from their team?

But mainly the conversation felt quite genuine and meeting fans like this is great for us supporters - something we've been missing for a few years now. Building up a trust with the fans is not a quick process so I understand some of the comments knocking tonight's meet n greet. However, being there and hearing what was said has, for me at least, gone someway towards building on that.

If you get a chance to go to one of the other meetings that I believe are being planned, I suggest you do so :ayatollah:

Daya I think the point is to improve relations with fans which many on here and I think the trust commented on....You had a wank over getting a well writen letter from Big Sam so hardly much difference except a personal touch from MM.

Personally I dont care for the fan/management relationship, maybe why I liked DJ but others so and the club are trying to address it.

It has not been mentioned down here, but they still have not recovered from two years ago without any control in the West Ham v Millwall game - This is a full-fledged riots and fully reflected in the MET, because they do not at all control...

went to the meeting last night and I can tell you I have a very positive feeling with malcky.

He connected with the fans from the off we even had a lough along the way he was a breath of fresh air.
He is someone who knows what he wants has a plan he will have different systems for each game and will change that system in games if its not working.
we don't need to sell players and are looking at bringing more in.
New signings could have gone to other clubs on more money but came to Cardiff because they felt Cardiff was the right choice.
Talked about reserve team football which will not happen
The academy and how he feels it is important to the club and will have close contact with them.
The players are told that team bonding is very important as is the rapport with the fans which is good
The debt is ongoing and club now operate within a budget and are looking to reduce the debt
The players earnshaw and hudson said pre season had been full of high tempo stuff and they had been put through some very hard work outs and the team are in good shape and ready
Malky also said that message boards that get and leak info such as player signings before it happens sometimes hinder and sometimes stall or even cock up potential signings
Got to go to work now but the meeting was very positive and Malky and his staff were brilliant I think Malky will be very good for this club and the changes he has made and the way he came across with a good mix of professionalism and humour was brilliant. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Daya wrote:Most of it was hope and also press bollocks - It was his brother who is the city fan - did you know even when he tried to buy the club for his brother , kumar and bob Phillips blocked the deal last minute for greed .

He kept his word tried to buy the club for his brother Clive and was totally blocked from doing so . That's hardly his fault is it ?

Kumar and Phillips may have tried to hold out for more money.

Problem is, Clive "owning" the clu would have infringed league regulations. You've even tacitly admited that when you wrote "tried to buy the club for his brother".
