dunno bout the british media in this case, but over here they never claimed it was an al quaida attack, not even when the news broke through...

even if it would have been al quaida, what would a cowardly attack like this change? f*ck all... terrorism is in the heads of people, the media is obsessed with it, so are politicians. and the weapon-industry is happy again, cos it means big bucks for them. guess who supported G.W. every day lorry- and car-drivers kill more women and children than terrorists in britain or germany. drunk drivers have a higher "success-rate" than al quaida activists... do we close pubs? or do we have scanners at the exits of supermarkets? no of course not...
it is all a part of life, we learn to live with it, and I know what I'm talking about as my brother got killed by a drunk-driver...

of course we try to prevent those attacks, but you cant guarantee that no lunatic will blast a bomb in a supermarket or draw a gun and shoot innocent people on st.mary street.

Very tragic what happened in Norway especially the shootings of the children on the island. Can't imagine how their families must be feeling at the moment.

terrorism is so over hyped, a handful of attacks in 7/8 years.

we have more than a handful of heart attacks every day in uk alone which is more of a danger to our well being, but I supose no where near as much money for prevention is put into perspective

I'm suprised no-one has mentioned a certain Eastern European mafia. Last month, 7th June, Norway and Russia finally made a deal regarding gas/oil which was found in the Arctic near Norway. The dispute went on for a while before the deal was agreed. I don't trust Russia one bit.
