I did a mistake with 15 games there, I had a brainfartMiller scored lots of goals against L1 level teams, that's not saying much. A few years ago he did score in Championship, but he's much older now, he has little to none technical ability, I don't see why should we pay 1kk euros for him. deadwood

if anything, technically and finishing wise from a strikers perspective is one of his strong points !!
i mean have you seen him play much?? ive seen him quite a few times and tbh when i heard we were linked i thought we had no chance of signing him !!
also are you excited about goodwille... he scored all these goals against the same standard in the same season. does that make him shit?

City paid £550,000 for Gavin Gordon & £1,700,000 for Peter Thorne.
Miller for £1 mill is not a bad deal...

Rangers had to sell him.
He had 6 months left on his contract.

IMO he is an excelllent signing, premier league player. he will do wonders in this league. if we sign him, id be tempted to chuck a top scorer bet on. big strong pacey, great finishing and a good work rate. i personnally, am excited !!

Just curious, wondering if you could clear up a question I have.
You slate Miller ( with a club ) for being "Thirty f*cking one", yet yourself raise the name of Benni (currently unemployed, thirty f*cking four ) as an option.
Just wondering how you reconcile that logical gap?

I don't understand how can you compare Miller to McCarthy, when in their primes they are from different planets. I did say that Benni is probably another Fowler. If McCarthy was 31, I'd definitely love to see him at CCS

Last season Miller was the top scorer in the SPL after just playing half a season and then signed for a top Turkish club. On the other hand McCarthy was so fat he was thrown out of West Ham in disgrace and couldnt get a contract at QPR. Five years ago it would have been a no brainer, these days Miller is twenty times the player McCarthy is!

McCarthy isn't 31. He's 34.
Your backing for him in another thread would indicate you'd like him here, when he's clearly further from his prime than Miller is.

Your post re: McCarthy was :-
"Ben McCarthy is also availablemight be a cracking signing, but probably another Fowler"
1) Surprise he was available.
2) Raised the prospect he might be a cracking signing.
3) Raised a Fowler comparison.
On the whole, more positive than negative.
But still, those who have actually seen McCarthy play the last few season know better than noobs, to use your terminology...
