No it would have helped the club as the plan was to help the youngters come through as there is no reserve team at City anymore. We had also planned to play on either a friday or a sunday so that City fans could attend.

Adam wouldnt that have been similar to Cardiff going red? We are Merthyr town, not a feeder club for Cardiff! Glad it didnt go through!

I'm glad as lets be honest what the trust have achieved is amazing, no offence to any pontential investor but many clubs are envious of our structure

The trust has done fantastic in all fairness but its not my preferred model. There will be a time when the club will find it level and will stay there for many years without investment.

I'd say at the moment our level is SPL! However, we are now being branded as a community club, which could see investment as we will be the"hub" of the community!

In my opinion that would just cover running costs.

all open to debate but as you know, not all about success sometimes just supporting your club and its tradition! You know that from your stance regarding the red!

I thought that was Adam's vision a community club, are you saying he wanted to impose his ideas on you , a bit like a Malaysian dictator would do, doesn't all this sound a bit hypocritical to everyone????

So because the majority of the fans and the supporters trust had different views, Adam took his investment elsewhere, is it me or odes this sound like a mirror image of the scenario that Adam is now so against, please tell me what you think.

Community club my arse.

Try playing some local players if you want the community to support you.

No wonder you get shit crowds.

Annis did try his best but the Merthyr fans wanted a say in how things were run, and as Annis said if he was buying it, he was going to run it. In all fairness to the Merthyr fans mind (and I'm no big fan of Trusts) at least they put their money where their mouths were and backed their plans up financially and it appears to be making steady progress.

But I'm with Annis here, if I was putting the money up, I'd be saying this is what I want to see as well.

I think you'll find Adam Brown may see things differently mind, but is that going to spurise anyone. :ayatollah:

I would never have changed their badge/colour etc.
The Trust never saved them in the end, the Merthyr Council put hundreds of thousands of pounds in to the club on condition when Merthry dont play all their facilities are used for the community. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Nice on Cakey, you tool! We only have one English player, one from Merthyr, two from Aberdare, one from Tredegar and a few from the Rhondda! And we averaged 500 last year, with two over 700 in the 5th tier of NL. What a tool!

One from Merthtr. I rest my f*cking case.

Well the malaysians are putting millions of pounds into cardiff city but if they dont allow fans a say into the running of the club they get labelled dictators?? Whats the diference here>?
