I'm not sure where this "Dickhead" reference has come from or whether you are referring to Lewis' OP? but none of the moderators called anyone a Dickhead?

Nukes, there were some terrible posts in that thread pretty much saying that it's ok to call a black person the "N" word! It is not right to use that in any sense. I admitted for making a mistake for leaving it up as long as I did, even though other moderators could have removed it too as it was viewed before me.

RACISM in any context will not be tollerated in any form on this message board regardless of yours or anyone else's views away from here.

Let's not carry on talking/moaning about it here either! Let's get on with the football and anything else for that matter, we are all clear, we're all grown men - surely everyone can accept it and move on.

If we are all grown up men then we can debate racism surely? I don't think anyone said it was OK to call black people a 'N' but it was fair to question why it was only racist when white people did so (after all know one knew if the poster on Jay's Twitter was black or white so by the logic of some we are not sure if the remark was actually 'racist')

Of course when some of us did question this logic we were branded 'racist' and it was OK to be called a 'c**t', dickhead etc.

Surely you can see the point, if there is a generalisation (especially by the mods and yes you Merlin and Clare did so) then it is only fair that you name the individuals and give them either a ban or a chance to explain themselves rather than delivering summary judgements on posters views.

on this forum we should be able to talk and debate about ANY topic like "grown men". The sort of topics that we are discussing on this forum which are deemed unacceptable would be talked in the pub amongst a number of us before a home match with no arguments at all. i don't see why SOME members(no one in particular -it could be anyone) can't talk on this forum like they would in the pub, they have to react ten times worse and say things that will cause big arguments. if it wouldn't happen in the pub, why let it happen on here.

there are so many good, respected posters on this forum and after reading AHERNE's thread, it's sad to see someone like him leave the board due to so many dickheads on this message board.
i agree that posters shouldn't take things too serious even if the other person is joking or not, but this is starting to go too far.
the arguing and bitching on some of the threads on this board is looking more and more like ccmb.
Posters complaining to moderators every day and it's laughable to be honest.
I really couldn't care less if people want to try and act big and target me after this thread because i know who i get on with on here and after so many away trips with the same faces last season, it's only their opinions and thoughts i could care about really.
i think when the season starts things will get better on here but i'm talking about NOW and quite frankly it's becoming a message board that i'm only enjoying with certain posters.

Way over the top lads, the ACTUAL ORIGINAL POST - was about a ignorant racist individual on twitter using the derogatory term "Nigger" in an abusive message aimed at upsetting Mr Bothroyd. Never mind about equal rights, nationalism and Double standards, thats what the thread was turned and twisted into - The fact remains (even after me going back and reading the thread in our trash bucket) That it got out of hand and caused hell between members!! Something we do not want to see a repeat of!

It was removed, becuase the topic's OP could not be discussed sensibly without moving on (became racist in itself) - members were down each others throats, and the simple thing is to just remove it - and let the MB become harmonic again!

You can argue til the cows come home, but the less we see of it - the better this place is! Can we get back to the finer things in life now please!! Cheers.
