South Mimms is 15mins from me

but i dont think i`ll get a ticket if they are to ST holders first
Sun Jul 10, 2011 6:43 pm
I expected a bubble tbh although don't see why we can't have a ticket exchange.

Will the same restrictions be imposed for the return fixture with West Ham?
We should do the same to them we havent before when Wolves banned us we should have banned them but we didnt the club have to treat every club like they treat us

if I cant get a ticket im going up anyway,
i'l be fuckin pissed off

Just to add the MET and SAG justification for the bubble:
The match at Upton park in 2005 there was no disorder with similar restrictions. (obviously forgot about the half time incident?)
Anything that is imposed on Cardiff I am told will be on a reciprocal basis for West Ham when they come to Cardiff

GUTTED
Will probably cause more trouble, easier to Police a stadium than hundreds of fans spread over dozens of east end pubs
Mon Jul 11, 2011 10:43 am
Well Im travelling straight down from Derby. I will be having a drink in the West Ham supporters bar then I will watch the game from the away stand.

what a load of shite. went to nearly all aways last year. Those aways included swansea, millwall, leeds, stoke, bristol. no sign of trouble!! bit of banter yes but nothing to get wet over!! 2 were a full bubble (swansea and bristol) i dont mind that as such, its only down the road, leeds was ticket exchange worked perfectly, free to enjoy our day up to within about 5 miles then we met police. (ok they fucked us about) but the idea was fine and there was no trouble and i expect 99% of us dont mind voucher exchanges 'when they are needed''.
but to throw around these f*cking stupid childish restrictions only adds tension, and makes what could be a very simple voucher exchange system at servies 10 miles away, now hard work.

Spot on. Leeds away last year was ideal (apart from the shambles on the M62 granted).
Surely they will settle for that option. A bubble is overkill when we are looking at those distances.

Why don't we ever boycott these bubbles - OK initially we'd suffer, but if we hit the bastards in the pocket they might liste. Also we should impose exactly the same restrictions on those away fans from the teams that f**k us around. Time toplay hard ball.

West Ham have just announced the ticket arrangements for the game, with City fans having the lower tier of the Trevor Brooking stand with all West Ham season ticket holders from the upper tier & the home section of lower tier being moved for the game. They don't even do this for any of the London derbies, the old bill must think we're all frothing at the mouth maniacs.

Here is the link
http://www.whufc.com/articles/20110601/ ... 96_2391994does that mean they have given us more tickets and I wonder if it is still a bubble trip
Wed Jul 13, 2011 6:19 pm
it would be strange for them to give us only 1-2000 tickets in a stand that holds about 10,000.

That is exactly what I was thinking

the bottom tier of the " trevor brooking stand " which they have said we will have to ourselves holds about 3600, so this looks promising

vince.alm wrote:Not looking good I am afraid to say: The Met and SAG (Safety Advisory Group) are insisting on a full bubble and 1000 ticket allocation for everyone supporting Cardiff on the day. That means supporters who live in London will also have to make their way to South Mimms services. Cardiff City Football club has refused to accept both the ticket allocation and full bubble. However the club have said they would be prepared to accept a ticket exchange, exiles make their own way to the ground, and a reduced ticket allocation to 1500 from 2000. This would allow supporters to go in the car and make their own way to London if they choose.
I have heard if we are banned that there will be a spontaneous demonstration march from Newham Council offices by dockside, to Newham police station Romford Road. I have been told it will take place early enough so that we can watch the game live in a pub in London also taking in the charity shield game kicking off later that day. I am currently at the FSF agm in London and many of my colleagues will be bringing supporters to the demonstration including West Ham, Man City, Man Utd who are already in London on that day.
Vince, as we know there is more to this than meets the eye. I thought after the Wolves' ban some years ago the FL said they would not favour wholesale banning of away fans. For what it's worth the banning is more to do with racism than trouble. Will they ban Millwall? NO OF COURSE THEY WON'T!
