Annis don't know if you remember but we was in a hotel in Glasgow, pre season 2002. There was only 5 of us in this hotel then one night when we went to the hotel bar there were around 40 Zulus in there as Birmingham were up there on pre season to. They saw your face and knew you straight away and called you over. You chatted to them for a while and they were ok. But the next day they had a battle with some Rangers fans and word got to us that they were going after you that night. So we moved to a Hotel in Motherwell where there were more Cardiff fans as we stood no chance on our own.

Annis, that must have been some experience for a youngster meeting West Ham at that period. The West Ham firm of the late 70's to mid 80's has got to be the meanest firm ever.

Spurs away in league cup heard about half a dozen yids behind me slagging City off.I called them all the cunts going and then mistakenly turned my back on them.f*cking WALLOP,one of them hits me in the side of the head with what feels like one of those battering rams they use to break down druggies doors. My one side of my face goes numb but I didn't go down, and say to the yid's 'that all you got'.With that a City fan runs past me and smashes a bottle over his head and then we run them off.The feeling didn't come back to my face for about 12 hours.

Oh f**k, where do I start

Pompey away twice, Leeds away late 70s, Spurs away, Lincoln away, Plymouth away, Pompey home(the year they had the G/end) and Swindon. We wernt even playing Swindon ffs, we got off the train there on way home from a London game and got set up and had to run a gaunlet and have to be honest it was the biggest & most cowardly kicking I ever had. Bastards, I'll never forgive them even tho it was about 26years ago.

coming back from a cardiff game at millwall was on the underground with about 15 cardiff fans, we stopped at a station when a mob of west ham were looking for liverpool fans , the saw us had a battering of them some police tried to stop it and they had a battering too

FA Cup QF 1972 Cardiff vs Leeds.
I use to stand behind the goal in the Grange End but for this game I had to stand on the corner of the Bob Bank as the Grange End was packed. This was 2 hours before kick off time as well.
Anyway, on the top of the corner of the Bob Bank were about 300 Leeds fans. On the corner of the Grange End facing these Leeds fans where well over a 1000 Cardiff. The banter went on for quite a while and it was only a question of time before all hell broke loose. I watched from the bottom of the Bob Bank as these 1000 Cardiff fans decided to charge the Leeds. I absolutely shit myself.
The Leeds made a quick exit, dont blame them, and they never returned. God knows where they went and I did not care providing they stayed away. Seeing a 1000 Cardiff charge you is not a pleasant site.

Think it was 86 or 87 and i made my way to Ninian park as a 15 yr old on my own as i'd played football in the morning.Got on the train in Port Talbot and there was 80-100 cardiffians waiting to get on the same train.Head down time and sat on my own whilst they roamed the train for Jacks.Got to Cardiff Central and was greeted outside by a good hundred youths looking for it.I did think about getting on the next train home but thought f**k it i've come all this way and jumped into a taxi and all the way to Ninian

It was the game where some lunatic come out of the Bob Bank and onto the pitch and threw a crutch at the Swansea fans

There was murders all game and you lot were fighting the OB in the Captain Morgan. As scared as i was though it was one hell of a buzz
Another time Swansea played Hayes in the Fa Cup,87 i think and west ham and leeds had played earlier in the day 11.00 ko.Both sets of fans thought they'd go to our game in the afternoon and were met there by Chelsea.Never ever seen fighting like it in my life, mainly west ham and Chelsea going at it all game long.We took a back seat in the stand and let them get on with it

We had our coach windows put through leaving the ground and had to drive to Swindon with no windscreen and the bus driver covered in blood and bandages.
Birmingham in 92 was another, got set upon by 10 lads flashing blades...'Fancy a swordfight' 'Fancy a swordfight'...yeah like f**k ,see you
some scrapes along the way but wouldn't change it and no regrets, part and parcel of being a football fan

Went to Burnley in the 80s with my mate from Yatton by Bristol when we were walking back to our car 3 Burnley fans walked down a subway and then walked back up the other side again coming behind us, They were giving it Sheepshaggers and all that shit , we thought 3 against 2 we'll have that as we walked towards them about 20 Burnley charged at us from across the street. We tried to leg it but they cut us off, my mate kept on getting back up shouting my f*cking Mother can punch harder than you cunts, only to be kept getting knocked down again , i got up to tell him to stay down only to be put down again myself

.
A bunch of brave tossers nearly 25 against 2,. Never had respect for Burnley after that.

Chelsea home march 84....Waiting outside Cardiff Central dressed in burbury Golfer, must have been about 20 of us waiting for the London train to arrive..and it did.!!! then probably a mob of about 4-500 CFC steamed out of the Station....When they caught eye of us waiting by Asties a massive rore went up and they proceeded to steam straight our way..Fuk did we run..!!!Ended up in the old western Mail building hiding beind piles of papers while we could hear Cockmey accents roaming the road outside looking for the prey..must hae been in there for over half an hour before the coast was clear..
The rest of the day has been well documented in DJ & TR book...

Being outnumbered in the old owain pub by the market, think i was only 16 -17. I think newport had mobbed up and were smashing there way into the pub, we were opening the doors and throwing beer glasses at em, but they still kept coming.
Police dogs are the worst though, one fucker ripped my f*cking shoe to pieces, didnt give a f**k about the shoe, but i had to walk around like a dick for hours. Mate of mine got his own back by biting one of the bastards back.

Was that the Easter game where Ray Bishop scored a late equaliser - the b*stard
As we were approaching West Ham, we're passing mobs of them and they're opening their coats flashing machetes at us. Nice start

. Then get our windows put through - welcome to the East End. Scrapping from the moment we got off the coach and throughout the game - they just kept coming and coming. Died down a bit , and I mean a bit lol - and then Bishop scores! No!!!! Cue carnage. Worst I've ever seen tbh.
Another one - and very relevant given our next fixture was Newcastle in 1982. Left Porth at midnight with Roy Daniels & Adarglas. Got to Newcastle early doors starving after a night on the pop. Calls into a cafe for breakfast and before I'd got my fork dirty a few Geordies had burst into the cafe shouting "Yachi Da boys is it?" and start flinging pool balls around. It's 9 o'clock in the morning ffs and we're at it already. Few more scuffles through the day - so much so we were talking about going on the Gallowgate End as it may be safer! Anyway, decided against that and stood on the Leazes Road terrace. They were amongst us and quite a few little scraps broke out through the match.
Leaving the ground we were expecting more to happen. With that my mate says to me "don't turn around, there's a guy with a knife at your back". So I turn around lol - and see this Geordie coming at me. Next thing I see is a copper diving at him - he's literally horizontal through the air, and he takes him down. Thank f**k for that! But my main recollection of the incident is that this Geordie was wearing denim dungarees. Denim dungarees ffs
Anyway, walk down to the bottom of town to our coaches which are in a compound. Get on the bus and we've a reception committee already on there. Here we go again....
Loads and loads more stories, Leeds away in the cup '74, Wales/Scotland at Anfield, attacked with roofing hammers and scaffold tubes at Bristol Rovers, Chelsea home & away 70's/80's, Pompey, Milan .... happy days - I think

At Bristol City many years back when we lost 4-1, I was very drunk and at half time noticed that the gate between the Bristol and Cardiff fans was open behind the terracing, where everyone was getting their drinks.
So I decide to go for a piss in the Bristol end, as I get about two thirds of the way along behing the terracing these Bristol fans come piling around the corner,so I look around to see some Cardiff fans getting ready to counter them, but I'm stuck in the middle.
Now even in the state I was in I figured that the Cardiff fans would arrive not long after the Bristol fans had reached me, and I didn't fancy running back ( stupid bravado I know ),so it was square up and hope for the best.
The best was - a bloody nose.
And I never did get to have my piss in the Bristol end.
That was my only encounter in 30 years of going away !

loads of trouble all day
people go on about the big clubs but plenty of cardiff fans who were there that day will remmeber it
there were loads of army lads in exeter that day and they joined up with the exeter fans
I got chased up a road and into mothercare by ten of them carrying bricks and planks of wood
and it carried on at the ground
a famous city fan from neath was custer at his last stand in the exeter enclosure that day
