Was this £20 million figure just made up? Signing on fee would not have amounted to anything close to £20 million. Clearly if we actually had this sort of money we would have made the 3/4 signing that Malky needs.

Re: " £20 MILLION BUDGET "

£16 million pounds is not a lot of money in the grand scheme of it all.

What's the weekly wage bill? Throw in transfer fees and signing on fees and that's it pretty much gone I would imagine.

20 million was the figure quoted that the malaysians were investing into the club as a whole to include paying off historical debts on the stadium of which i might add they are doing.
If the wages for earnie and miller are to believed at 20 and 25k respectively then thats blows over 2 million of the budget straight away not including their signing on fee's and also the signing on fees for the rest of the new squad members plus wages.
That 20 million also includes staff wages for all aspects of the club including the acadamy.
It is also fair to say that a portion of the budget is being held back for january to strenghten in the window.
All things taken into consideration 20 million does not go a long way these days bearing in mind the debts being serviced from previous regimes.
Mind you perhaps people miss those days of high court appearances where we bit our nails wondering if we would have a football club to support the next day.
bloody malaysians what have they ever done for us eh

As said, Wages, Signing on fee's and debts being payed, thats alot of money gone. We are still building from scratch but I'm more than happy with what we have got, Just need a few more for a squad, Even if thats next year, so be it.

Seriously give me Chopra anyday of the week for 20k, rather than Earnie and deep down we all know it

well lets think about it. we have signed 9 players. signing on fees agent fees etc thats about 2 mill imo at this level if not more.

then u add transfer fees of miller mason turner which is another 2 mill.

then even if u put the avergae wage of the squad at £8k times that by around 23 squad members is just short of £10 million a year. so already we have hit £14mill plus. not including tax man, DJ and other staff gardening leave payments. how about all the new staff we have signed....u think watford let them come to us for free???

wake up we have spent most of the so called £20 already

i think we have 1-2mil left for jan and extra wages and that is it, at a massive push

there is no way that earnie is 20k. it was reported he was on 7k at forest and they wanted him to take a pay cut, only a mad man would then come in and say "ok earnie, forest want you to take a pay cut but we'll give you 20k to come home and live nearer your family and friends!" i cannot believe i'm witnessing a campaign gaining momentum on here to bite the hand that feedsh them. the disrespect being shown on here lately to the men that kept and continue to keep our club afloat is absolutely shameful! i'm just glad the opinions of some on this messageboard dont represent the majority of fans who will be there tomorrow!

earnie situatuion we had no strikers at all and he was willing to move on a free to his home town club. he was a proven goalscorer and as u can see by the lack of strikers in the loan market we didnt have much to choose from

I think you will find the Malaysians have had quite a big change of mind, plus a few mistakes along the way as now they are paying of Jones/Burton,Wilkinson,plus other back room staff and now Gethin Jenkins, plus all the staff who replace these, it just seems to go on and on

I think quite a few people dont realise we are having to still pay these lot.
