This would be a fantastic appointment.
Better than Di Matteo and Robins.

Over the last week or so,WATORD have seen both WILL BUCKLEY (Brighton),DANNY GRAHAM (Swansea) leave, along with their CEO - JULIAN WINTER.
Are there more departures due
Back in JAN,this year BURNLEY wanted to speak to MALKEY MACKAY,but were refused by WATFORD.
Nothing is ever a done deal untill everything is singed,24hrs in football can seem a long time, and things can change.
I Was told yesterday that MM was our front runner for the job,But if you take time out to read what our new friend on here - HOLLYWOOD Has posted,he says that MM is back on Tuesday to have talks with their "new head of football"-WATFORD Fans Forum.

Why would the club want to pay for some1 that isnt head and shoulders above chris houghton and di matteo and there FREE.
It doesnt add up for me

I thought the club was trying to cut costs ready for next season.

Hughton or Di Matteo hadn't taken a club up before Newcastle & WBA appointed them both respectively.
Brendan Rodgers hadn't taken a club up before this year & Paul Lambert had not taken a club up to the PL before this year.
Same applied to Holloway last year.
Mackay, IMO, will be a decent appointment... but I still believe that it will be McInnes.
Whoever it is then good luck to them. They still have to put up with the expectations of our younger supporters who have not witnessed, first hand, our prior struggles.
2011 was the best year that I have had supporting CCFC (since 1972). OK it could have, and some will say should have, been better but it was still the best (league) performance. The FA Cup final in 2008 was pretty special though.

Time will Tell, not my 1st choice but better than others
I personally think its down to the compensation, with this one

Some of you twats (sorry, but you deserve it!) would complain if we got Alex
f*cking Ferguson, youd say "too old, too Scottish, likes his wine too much, over

For fucks sake.. its obvious to a 5 year old that our board are deadly serious about
this appointment.
Because (finally) they are deadly serious about this clubs future!!
Shame a lot of our support consists of big babies spitting their dummies out for
no reason whatsoever
Absolutely spot on.
Some people need a reality check, I think it's potentially a great choice. With any new appointment, there is risk, let's be positive.

No real reason tbh moonboots. I know that McInnes is out of contract and that he is in the top 5 of the boards preferred list. He is a hungry manager and his reputation in Scotland is growing year by year. When he took over from Owen Coyle nobody expected much from him and he has exceeded these expectations. Will be on a low salary and he will have a point to prove but he could be anything. More importantly - he will not cost us a penny in compensation.
However, after saying all of this, it look very much like MM will be leading us next season - and that's not too shoddy either.

Totally agree... It really has o change.

I'd be more than happy if this news becomes a reality. He's a young (only 39!) up and coming manager and had an average Watford team playing very good stuff for the best part of the season.
Things are on the up!
