Just read on his Wikipedia he won't be renewing his contract. He's way too good for the Championship to be fair. Maybe Burke is Larsson's replacement then.

Got to say this but no.

Routledge was awesome when he was on top of his game for us. However he did go missing quite alot. Burkey although not as talented as Routledge was more of a trier than Routledge. So from all that I would say Routledge talent gave him the nudge over Burkes commitment.

Burkey was a 100%er but I think we can do better than him and we need better than him to be able to go that extra step further. However, I will never forget Middlesbrough away last season, when Burkey didn't just put in an outstanding performance, it was a world class performance. But he is a confidence player so when he's warming the bench at Birmingham, that will affect his confidence straight away and I don't see him doing much there at all to be honest. I think he may actually be on the decline and we have got rid of him the correct time, just a shame we couldn't get a fee for him. But I wish him well.

Sebastian Larsson is out of contract and left Brum, think there's a few Premiership teams chasing him. Agree mostly with the rest of your comment though, like you said shame we couldn't get some cash for him. :ayatollah:

Didn't play well and threw his toys out of the pram when he had to make way for Bellamy.

Simply not good enough last season and looked like he needed a change.

I like to remember the good days, but good bye and good luck.

Larsson won't still be with Birmingham next season.

He was a hard worker and a good player, we just couldn't afford him.

Nice guy, wish him well.

Agree that he always gave his all, unlike some, and showed he cared on numerous occasions! when on song a real handful but seemed to have lost that zip last year.

Got to agree with the jack though I would have prefered routledge! :(

I'm gutted to see Burkey go. He was a massive fans favourite and he seemed to be really passionate about the club compared to a lot of the other players.

Good luck to him though, I think he's a great guy but I do question why he's left us to go to Birmingham. I thought he would've gone back to the SPL or gone to the prem. I just don't understand players leaving our club to go to other championship clubs unless they are not getting any 1st team football. But perhaps Burkey wants to work with McLeish again and they offered him a better wage.

He plays on the left, He plays on the right! Chris Burke - one of my favourite players last few seasons :ayatollah:

I absolutely agree. Unquestionable commitment, work-rate and skill. Top fella & really wanted it for us - gutted he's gone as one of the players I wanted to see next season with us. Good luck Chris - really enjoyed your playing and effort for us. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

BEST OF LUCK BURKEY.

He was the only player in our team who came of the pitch against Reading with any credit. Played his heart out and cried his eyes out coming off the pitch.

If we had 11 players with that attitude we might have given it a go 2nd half.

Another player whos confidence was shot by dave jones. Can you imagine putting in 100% effort in every game, sometimes you dont play your best but you bloody try and quite often run yourself into the ground yet you get dropped for spineless lazy wankers like Jay Emmanuel Thomas?

No coincidence that we were very, very strong down the right hand side with the combinations of Burke and Matthews/McNaughton which was noted by every bloody team in the division so that they always concentrated their attacks down the left side which had the over worked Naylor/Kennedy because Whittingham didnt track back enough?

Clearly McLeish had a word months ago, Burke probably made his mind up before the Malaysians did about Dave Jones. Sad to see him go and I hope he does well for Brum

I will always admire him because when my Daughter met him and Bothroyd in St Davids 2 last season she asked Burkey for his autograph and he said we can do better than that and he arranged from him and Jay to have their photo with my Daughter who was made up. :ayatollah:

So good luck to Burkey and i just hope he doesn't come back to haunt us :(
