I still think 3.5m is to much for him but then I guess with a 90m windfall you can afford to pay slightly over the odds

I would cream myself if I ever saw Bellamy in a hooped shirt. Class act.

So would I but only if he sent the pikey inbreds down west down. Imagine that, relegation decider and Bellamy scores, keeps you up, sends them down. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: I reckon we should send him on the job.

Stan, looks like Jay's off to The Toffees and local media reporting Danny Graham to the Jacks is a 'done deal' and is now their record signing....

Personally, I think he'd be better off with your lot as he would (a) be able to stay in London (if you can class Watford as a London side  ) and (b) QPR have a far better chance of staying up next year with their backers....

Huw Jenkins is in it for the wrong reasons and now he has swelled his coffers he will next be looking to sell with that old addage "so someone else can move the club forward...."

Yeah, whatever....

Is there any possibility that the local media have got it wrong?? Now THAT woukld be a surprise....NOT!!

What's this all about Stan? Is it a case of the QPR board not backing the manager or did Warnock not reall fancy him? Seems very strange that Graham would take a move all the way to Jacksville, rather than a move down to London, all things being equal. I would also find it hard to believe that QPR wouldn't offer superior terms.

Not sure mate will ring my guy tonight to see what occurred.

Spoke this morning he said Dannys on his way to Dubai he's made it absolutely clear we are his preferred choice & things will be concluded today. Then boooom.

Don't know if he was using us to engineer better terms or what but fair play to the jacks I think they've got a real decent player on the books now.

Oh well onto the next target. DJ Campbell or Robbie Keane. Or should I buy a box off eggs just in case? :D

Don't listen to the peg seller he's still brewing from when I slaughtered him & his bent mates after they're night out in a sausage jockey bar

A player changes his mind at the last minute to play for his ex manager shock horror, these things happen.

Don't matter how good someones sources are if something happens last minute.

As I say good luck to him. Was over priced at £3.5m anyway although I'd still of liked him.

We won't fail because we don't have Danny Graham that's for sure.

Anyway any pegs for sale?

Or buttless cowboy leather chaps?

Stan, you have dodged a bullet there in my opinion. I bet Danny Graham will score no more than 6 goals this season. He is an average Championship striker but is obviously a very good finisher. But he will never get the chances to score regularly in the Premiership and to be honest, I would never have seen him doing half as well if he stayed in the Championship next season.

You can do way better for 3.5 million. You should be targeting strikers in the top European leagues. Odemwingie only joined West Brom for 2 million and Santa Cruz only joined Blackburn for 2 million. Even players like Hernandez only joined man Utd for 6.7 million. Danny Graham is never worth 3.5 million, you have got lucky, just my opinion.

To be fair, why would anyone choose to live in London?! Easy choice imo, even if it meant playing for the jacks

QPR are a horrible little club in a horrible city with horrible fans.

Graham knew this and chose Swansea.

Somewhat ironic ;)

In fairness all clubs have good and bad fans and all Cities have good and bad areas. However the area around Loftus Road is pretty shit. Mind you if Graham got the train into jackland the area around the station is one of the shittest in the UK. I can only assume that Rodgers took Graham to the Gower otherwise he'd never have signed......

Graham hasn't actually signed.

Still time to be gazumped by QPR. Marcus Bent ring any bells?

Great post mate & what you've written really puts things in perspective actually.

Haven't spoke to my mate but I'm hoping we didn't match the £3.5m bid Swansea put in. That would make me feel a bit better.

As I say I'm not gonna slag the guy because I wanted him but as I said in perspective their is much better out there for that money.

£3.5M deal...Funny time to jet off on holiday :?

Couldn't it of waited 1 day? The Jacks will be on tenterhooks until he touches down in 2 weeks :D

FAO Jack Bastards

Interesting developments this morning. Graham's agent flying to Dubai to convince Danny to honour his 'word' he gave that he would join QPR.

Up until 25 minutes before Swansea announced he was signing for them Graham had told his agent he wanted to sign for QPR then made a decision without his advisers. Check my post saying 'Unlucky Swansea' I wouldn't of written that without very good reason would I? His own agent had everything agreed until the Swansea announcement.

He was then sternly advised to not sign for Swansea but to get himself away on holiday sharpish.

His & Swansea's biggest ever deals & he shoots off on holiday :?:

This one may not be over so I will accept apologies in all forms if I'm proved right

If it turns out he does put pen to paper with the Jacks then fair enough but what I've written above is 100% fact that's why I was so sure. Let's see how this pans out. ;)

If this is true it could be highly amusing.
