Dai Young has had some stick to be fair. Not an amazing deal, sure. I'd say it's mostly because journos know the full state of finances with the Blues, hence cut some slack.

They managed to keep Rush from going to Ulster, with a hefty pay rise, and kept a few others from leaving.

If its about finances then you would have thought Jones would get cut some slack.

Most of his time here we've been on the brink of administration.

Brought in something like £35m of players and bought maybe £8m worth (most of that on 1 player chopra).

Tucker is a clown, but Jones would be better off ignoring him.

DJ was at his miserable best last night but this was said with a bit of passion and for me it's been a long time coming but lets hope DJ continues to vent his anger with this guy (but not at this moment), imo you can add Mark Bloom to the list, but DJ can fill his boots with the tossers after these playoff games.

Tucker, Bloom and Abbandanato will not be the people deciding whats happens at the club and really how many of the fans either listen or believe the drivel they come out with, Terry Phillips is the only one of that crew who can claim any level of journalistic integrity but right now we need to leave them them all lurking in the shadows, we know they are there and we know what motivates the lot of them but we need to ignore them.

Just some advice for DJ though yes Tucker is fat but he also needs a shave, a haircut and a good bath. If anyone knows where he could get some personal grooming tips perhaps they could send him a email.

F**k them all Dave we are now in the middle of something that is more important than any of them, because this is our year this is the year our dreams are going to become reality fill your boots with the tossers on May 30th. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Would that be the same journalistic integrity that prints stories giving only one side of a story based entirely on listening in to a mobile phone conversation between two other people in a coffee shop?

Being fair, there's somewhat more integrity to that than getting both sides by wiretapping...

Well you can have a dig at Terry Phillips if you want to at the end of the day it's about opinions and mine is that Terry Phillips is a cut above the rest at mediawales. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree entirely.

But the suggestion in the post I was replying to was that TP was somehow a journalist with more integrity and therefore better than the other two mentioned. Personally I think all three are of a not particularly high quality and certainly not up to the standard of previous local sports journalists who went on to bigger and better things.

I still remember a TP article this season headed with the suggestion that there were reasons why Sam Hammam should not return to CCFC.The article itself then went on to list mostly reasons why he should - based almost entirely on the personal opinions of a few posters on here without any supporting evidence or facts whatsoever. Such articles exhibit neither quality nor integrity in my opinion.

The Ice Hockey lover may be the best of a bad bunch there, but he's nowhere near as good as the like of Lovejoy / Rob Phillips were in their prime there.

Phillips was merely Ridsdale's lapdog, don't forget.

The guy who recommended Alan Durban to replace Len Ashurst because " His Teams Never Get Relegated "

Made my day that one.

Heh, he didn't always get things right, but he was a heck of a lot more honest than most.

Fair enough obviously the content of that article is something you don't agree with and if it's you're opinion that it was based on the opinions of couple of posters on this messageboard again fair enough, but at the end of the day what journalist passes up the chance of a good story. None in my opinion because they never let facts get in the way of a good headline or story.

But I would say that throughout his time with The South Wales Echo his reporting of Cardiff City FC has been a bit more balanced overall than one or two others.

Just my opinion of course. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

And spent massively on wages, exceeding income.[/quote]

Like many other clubs, who don't have the benefit of selling £35m of players.

I was unlucky enough to meet Lovejoy once after a game against Fulham at Craven Cottage, it was in the players lounge after a game city won 2-1 a result which was not expected.

Some of the players came in after the game and I was talking to a few Andy Dibble, Gorden Owen to mention a few they were all happy until Lovejoy walked in. They all put their glasses down and none of them were drinking alcohol but they didn't want the guy to see them with a glass of anything in their hands.

After the team left Lovejoy came up to me and my mate and asked if we knew what the players were drinking, honestly I couldn't believe it.

We both told him to f**k off but I have never forgot the players reaction or his question to us, Honesty I doubt it seriously. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
