Neil Warnock :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We wouldn't have the kind of problems with appreciation from players/manager outlined in this thread if Warnock was our manager!

It hurts you that players didnt walk an extra 10 yards and hit their hands together? DJ and co all said it the post match interview that the fans were superb as Jay tweeted he was very impressed. I am more happy in thinking that the players just went straight down the tunnel as the job is not done and need to remained focused instead of getting carried away with the fans celebrations.

Nathan, Were the only Club in this Division that Our own players can not be bothered to come over to their fans at Away games All Season, other than Preston away. YES IT HURTS ME and I AM ALLOWED TO SAY HOW I FEEL.

By all means you can say what you feel but the way our fans reacted yesterday you would have thought we were at Wembley!. Would you be happy if they came over and started celebrating with us like we were up and then bottled it Tuesday?. They went straight down the tunnel and straight back home ready for training today and preparation for Tuesday. If we win on Tuesday then THAT is the time for applauding the fans etc not when the job is half done.

Our Fans Celebrated the Fact that Our team had earned a good draw away from home without Bellamy. All I have said is they should come over to us and clap. Listen before you were even born City Teams have in the past have Always Shown US FANS THEIR APPRECIATION for SUPPORTING THEM and TRAVELLING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.THIS TEAM DOES NOT and THAT HURTS ME, MAYBE NOT YOU. BUT THATS YOU, I CANT CHANGE YOUR OPINION and YOU CERTAINLY WONT CHANGE MINE 38 YRS LATER and a COUPLE OF THOUSAND GAMES UNDER MY BELT.

porthcawlcasual wrote:I agree with the sentiments as far as the committment was concerned ut the cutting edsge was lost as soon as CB departed. As soon as he left the field their back line pushed up the field as they knew that there was no pace to get behind them. That changed the game from there on in and allowed them back into it. If CB isn't fit for the replay which with a hamstring he won't be we need to change tactics somehow.
I did think that Chopra however did well closing people down from the front when he came on even though he's quite clearly not fit.

He has to be careful with challenges though as the last thing you need is to be down to 10 men. Nothing wrong with front men closing players down, but the challenge has to be timed well and if he is as unfit as you say a clumsy tackle could be costly. He mistimed one badly last night and was lucky not to get booked yet a player throws a ball away and receives a yellow! Bonkers these referees!

I agree. Sitting in the family stand next to the away supporters I am always embarressed every week when the away players (more times than not) make a point of walking up to the away fans and applauding them. As I witness these events I look around and our lads are already back in the changing room. My frustration was at its peak this year away to Middlesborough when we gave good support and witnessed a lack lustre display with only Bellamy bothering to clap us as they hurriedly went down the tunnel. I must admit that that pissed me off mainly because we had travelled a long way and the players did't turn up. The least they could have done was acknowledge the support and I know some people don't seem to care but the players should at least acknowlege us as respect is a 2 way thing.

Nathan, ANSWER THIS, IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG IN ME WANTING OUR PLAYERS JUST TO COME OVER and SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION TO OUR FANS ?

They did during the 70s,80,s, 90's and up to 2 years ago. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Whenever someone complains about the players not coming over to the fans, why do some of our fans offer excuses for this behavior.Almost every other clubs players go over to their fans at the end of a game which you would think is a natural thing to do and reinforces the player / fan bond and shows respect. The excuses our fans use normally centre around statements such as "it does not bother me" or "Jones does like us because he thanked the fans in an interview" or "Jay has tweeted his thanks to the fans".
This is all bullshit and if the players want to thank us then show it by doing a lap after the game instead of slinking off down the tunnel with the odd clap as your dissapearing. Even when the club advertise that the players will thank the fans, they can't even get that right with the recent shambles that followed the last home game against Middlesborough. As far as I am concerned many of us give unconditional support to the players even when we are playing shyte only to receive a fraction of support from our players in return.

If you want to see a job half done then see how well the players applaud us on Tuesday.
