This is How I See it, This Drinking/Gambling Culture at Our Club has been Allowed to increase Season after Season and it has NOT BEEN STOPPED and IN MY OPINION ITS A DISGRACE.

Annis it cost us Monday and you have to ask yourself how many other games have we lost points because of it. £90m down the river because we have a uncontrolled pisshead culture at the club.

Another problem Annis is that, as much as this may surprise some people, these shenanigans are as you say actually quite open and blatant.

Neither I nor Cheri have any what you would call 'contacts' at the club, but if we in our position were able to observe and hear what we did on Monday evening, then there's clearly no attempt to keep it undewraps. DJ may act like it is a big secret, but surely he must know - or at least some of his coaching staff did.

but surely the fans as a whole deserve to know who they and giving proof as to whether this is true or not ?

and not just a select few who have a few contacts
but the regular fans who still turn up every week but have no contacts
surely weve got as much right as anyone to know for sure whether 3 players have gone out the night before and f*cked up our chances of promotion?

What matters is that Dave Jones should know, and he should then deal with it and take measures to ensure it never happens again whilst he's the manager of our club.

if its true then yeah!!

i just think our fans should be actually told for sure whats going on, instead of just given half the story on here then told we cant be given any proof or told who it was

if someone came on here now and just accused the players of something, but wouldnt show any evidence, noone would even give them the time of day

so i just think everyone deserves to know what's going on, if anything, yknow
been as though we pay for a season ticket every year and weve just missed out on automatic promotion

I believe it is true as the guys that have told me I know dont do BS.

I'm very angry about all this and feel let down terrible. If this was mid season I would want the culprits to be sacked from the club. However we still have ahcnace to go up and the only way I will forgive thme is if they do take us up.

i just dont believe that they would be stupid enough to be out the night before a game, im sorry but i just dont, if they were, there'd have been serious consequences and wed have heard about it for sure by now

but im not gonna start slating these players until i know for sure that they were out the night before a game, instead of just listening to rumours, and i hope other fans take the same view

and if eventually it is proven to be true, ill gladly come back to this topic and apologise, admit i was wrong, and id be devastated that 3 of the players would do that

What a state of affairs.
Arsene Wenger doesn't sign british players because of the booze culture.
it explains the performances barnsley and millwall where our players could'nt last the distance.
Against the Boro they were an absolute disgrace.
They'll get stuffed at Burnley as well.

As Annis has said some of the players are serial offenders. They do it because they know they will be given another chance, a sort of final warning but they know DJ will let them off with another final warning if they got caught again.

Children will do the same with their parents and we know some of our players can be like spoilt kids. In life if you give a final warning you should mean it otherwise it is you that will end up looking the fool just like DJ.

Evidence please! And I don't mean my brother's best mates uncles cousin saw them. In this day and age of celebrities and football players getting filmed on mobile phones then how come there is never any evidence of all this alledged boozing by the city players.

3 Players ??? Annis said in another thread on one night 8 were out then 6 then 4 or something like that so we deserve to know who they all are. But i agree with Annis and Carl it should be done after Burnley

These are grown men for fucks sake not kids, I am absolutely disgusted, they have let VT, TG, DJ, the fans, and themselves down.

I hope they feel ashamed they should do !!!

One plus though is DJ can use this as chance to pay us all back, get them together and tell them they are lucky to have a job, now go and repay all of these good people Burnley and then go and win the playoffs for the fans.

He could really use this as a motivational opportunity, lets hope they are mature and bright enough to realise they have let everyone down.

What can I say, this type of behaviour might have been acceptable when Dave Jones was playing but FFS not now.

Sounds like we are stuck in a time warp, sorry but it's down to the manager to stamp this drinking culture out. He must know its going on and he's either turning a blind eye or doesn't give a F**k A lot of players turn to drink and gambling due to the amount of free time they have, some and I heard this on the radio become addicted to porn! A good football club makes sure this doesn't happen, focus on and off the field.

Do you think the players in question think the seasons over and its time to wind down when actually it should be the bloody opposite...well thats Monday's performance explained then.

I feel massively let down and look forward to Carl naming and shaming although it doesn't take too much imagination to work out who was out on Sunday night, the night before the most important game of the season so far.

Our players should go 'in retreat' before all games, like they do in Italy, where there is no drinking culture in football. Before away games our players are in a hotel, like before the Doncaster and Sheffield United games. Look what happened there After training on Thursday, keep them together in the Vale, or somewhere, where they will have to behave. All of them, not just most of them. Fair enough, they will want to be treated as adults, but they have to behave professionally first.

1970/71 was bad enough, last season was worse, but this would be the biggest disappointment of all. But it's not too late. We are still good enough to go up. DJ and the players just have to perform to their full potential. Maximum of four games. Not asking much, is it ?
