If we get promoted or if we fail DAVE JONES WANTS TO NOW STAY. Honest Opinions Please ?

We have failed to go up Automatically, but IF and I mean a Big IF we go up via the play offs would you want him to stay on next season ?

Not the best time to ask such a question really emotions are high and some people will make rash decisions.............

Ask it IF we win promotion and the answers will be way different.........

I'd keep him on if we went up, not if we stayed down

It is my view that DJ has taken us as far as he can and going forward I believe that we need someone new at the helm. However, I would also like to thank DJ for the huge amount of work he does behind the scenes. Work that, at times, may have distracted his attention (albeit unintentionally) from the playing side and need to strengthen in certain areas

Going forward I would like to see either Warnock, O'Neil or Holloway (If Blackpool get relegated). DJ should be made Director of Football

To be fair to Dave Jones he's progressed you as a club season by season and has brought some excellent players (By Championship standards) to your club, he can't be doing all that badly it's not as if Cardiff are the only team who've spent money in this division.

No, even if we did go up he'll be moved upstairs in a different role.

So I'm guessing the general consensus is that you all want Jonesy tied down to a 4 year deal then?

The problem we have had with DJ in the last 3 seasons is consistancy. We are so use to going through good patches bad patches. Including tonight and through this 8 game unbeaten run I have not been confident about any of the games due to this inconsistancy. Tonight my fears came true and now I embrace myself for a total collapse. Why because when this happens like tonight Dave Jones does not seem to have the ability to pull us through it in a short time.

My thoughts are based on what I have seen over the last few seasons and especially this campaign but regardless of what happens Dave Jones should go. Even if promoted I believe he should go, perhaps a bit unfair but I do fear it could be a disaster with him in charge in the premiership.

I had hoped to keep this to after our final game of the season be it @ Turf Moor, Wembley or PO semi- final purely in interests of club unity but after this evening I feel time for both DJ & significant number of first team squad to move on ! We need somone with real passion & desire @ the top & players with genuine committment to CCFC ! I was surprised to hear post- match comments in the Ninian Park that certain players failed to give 100% cos they were of opinion they'd be surplus to requirements if we reach Premier League - havin had a few hours to reflect I think too many of the squad representing City today should be surplus to requirements even if we remain in the Championship ! We lacked any cutting edge tonight , only Bellers offered himself , KM again showed the attitude that ALL our players should display as standard ! Too many of the rest were not @ the races - for me TH SO SMc CB & JB were absolutely shocking !

The problem is, can DJ take us any further this season? As for year on year progression, then maybe another two or three years for Premiership promotion?? I don't think he will be offered that luxury!

I've been nothing but consistent on this issue........GO whatever the outcome. As I've said many times before, before have gone straight after the home draw against Preston in December (one of the many piss poor performances that has cost us automatic promotion).

I have no expectation of promotion this season; my view has been consistent in that DJ could have won promotion by amassing enough points to go up automatically but that he does not have the tools to win a big, "One off" game. IMHO we will not win the play offs.
I thought DJ should have been sacked after the Preston fiasco two seasons ago.
To answer your question, even if we were promoted I would want DJ moved away from his current role oir we would be bottom of the Premiership and the DeeJayosaurous would be sacked by Christmas.

We lose too many under Jones.

1. QPR - losses 5
2. Norwich - losses 8
3. Cardiff - losses 12

i can think of 850 thousand reasons why he would want to stay and i can think of another 850 thousand why the malaysians will get rid of him.
he has one more chance next saturday to not be known as the biggest bottler since corona as i still believe a win will allow us to replace qpr
