You'll need a roof rack and then a kayak adapter mate i got all mine from Halfords think it was about £150 for the rack, brackets, and the adapter. so a bit pricey but the ones i got were Thule so they are worth the money.
if you get these ones you will be able to fit two kayaks no probs.

If you ever want a paddling partner give me a shout :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I've got a whitewater kayak mate ( Perception supersonic ) Sit on tops are great if all your planning is to go down the beach but i find that gets boring really quickly.
I go all over the place mate. but most often i just go down the taff, all year around to, but the best places are up Brecon and towards Neath.
The Taff it great for people just getting into kayaking there's nothing really tricky either. Though i wound'nt reconmend going by your self if you haven't done any kayaking before.

And i got all my stuff from the Halfords in Ponty.

In summary get a propa kayak ( sit on tops are gay  ) get down Halfrods and then get in the Taff

 Yeah it can be a bit scary the first few times you turn over but all you have to do is pull off your spray deck and push your self out. The Eskimo roll is a bit tricky to master but not to hard! ( I'm self taught 8-) )

They do have courses you can do down the whitewater center geive them a ring and see what they got on.
Failing that if you want when the weathers a bit nicer i'll take you on the taff and you can have a go on mine.
Got a wet suite?????
