Mate, he went off to talk with Fulham when we accepted the £4million offer.

Great update, Jay's form and attitude seemed to have changed, it's hard to stay in a job when you know you are moving on, that would explain a lot. Still he seemed to have stepped up his performance yesterday, lets hope he can keep it going.

DJ's PA must be shitting herself reading this, "any news then love ", "oh yes Dave, Martin O'Neil is being lined up as manager next season"...........

If it's true I am not sure that part is going to help us through the next 7 games ??????

Bothroyd refused to return to Cardiff as he wanted to do the deal and had a massive bust up with Jones whilst on his way to London. Jones begged the Malaysians not to sell him and promised he wouldnt ask for any more money, the Malaysians then agreed. Bothroyd was furious and he and Jones have hardly spoken since, hes then as we have all seen played as he doesnt want to be here !!

the bottom line is hes sulking as normal like a big baby .

As for all this England International stuff just over a week ago i spoke to Fabio about it at the Grove hotel just outside Watford.

Fabio was unimpressed with his desire and it came across it would be unlikely he will ever get another opportunity, Fabio addressed it more as a trial because he had heard a few things but rarely watchs Championship football.

cheers carl, this end of season dinner, i was going, have been to a number of them, but we , have all decided to give it a miss,, the dinner is on the same day as the qpr game, nothing to celebrate then? and i heard they want you sat down at your table,ready to eat at 6-30, and now the players and staff, will be gone by 10, the players ,always wanted to leave as soon as they could, get in to town,, bar 1 or 2, so, it sounds like its going to be a right larf there,,,, think i will stay in and wash my hair,

This phantom Stoke bid for Joe Ledley... it was never confirmed. Considering Liesdale was in charge at the time, I'm willing to believe that he was being economical with the truth on that one as well.

And if we do go up, it will have been the right decision.

We can all pontificate with "ifs" (but pontificating with butts is more a preserve of some Swansea fans it would seem) but none of this matters anyway. For starters it's all messageboard gossip, and the fact is Bothroyd is playing for us, is our top scorer this season and plonked in another one yesterday in a game we won 4-1.

All seems a bit "Much Ado About Nothing" to me.

Maybe, but it would certainly explain why Stoke ( who didn't refute the widely reported claim ) refused to consider going to a tribunal to fix a fee for Ledley, offering players instead.

Maybe, but it would explain Jay's inexplicable loss of form recently. It would also indicate all not well within the dressing room; you're a player, your manager blocks one of your teammates from moving to a higher level of football with far higher wages... what would your view be?

Carl, If the council decide to let us off paying rates for a set period of time, it has nothing to do with the retailers accross the road, it is the councils right to allow a tax break, they do it all the time continuously for charity shops, and other business's although they do not have to, as for the retailers not paying their rates, that is illegal and they have no right for withholding them, and the council can enforce the payments through the courts if nessessary, and just because CCFC do not pay any, that is no excuse in law, if the retailer bosses do not pay, then the council can eventually apply to the court for a bankruptsy order, the bosses could even end up in prison, so it is all talk from them, and the council know that, and also know that they will pay up

nah i agree to a point, but Carl knows that when he says it, he's well informed, when other people say it on message boards, like whoever else said it, noone really takes much notice, but alot of people actually listen to Carl on here and its just gonna cause problems if people think a high class manager like O'Neil could come to us next season in my opinion

i personally, really hope DJ stays, even if i dont agree with how he talks to the press sometimes in his interviews, and comes across as arrogant, i still think hes done wonders for this club and is a top, top manager

The council gave a five year break to john lewis to attract them to cardiff.
perhaps if they had given the same break to david morgans we would still have a century year old local welsh family business within the cardiff community.

so jay wanted to go then even tho he stated he didnt. no wonder he has been so crap last few months.
