I've read a few dig Oli out on here recently Chi... Think you missed him badly today personally.

He has some very good games and then has games where he looks slightly off the pace. Bit inconsistent, but I rate him highly, and he is definitely important in promo push especially as Ramsey is no longer with us.

Ramsey was who we missed today, such a great shame Arsene wouldn't let him stay longer.

Big change down the spine of the team today and formation 433 didn't work second half. I want Bullard at the City, hes premier league class all over! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I posted on an earlier thread about Bullard having space will do damage & when Shaun Derry roughed him up a bit at our ground he didn't like it, today with you boys no one done that very thing, he didn't have an amazing game but his class showed through, a bit of a physical battle would of shut him right up.

Just read all your post Stan and I have to agree with practically everything except us going up. I am not convinced we have the right manager in place. I agree with you on Bothroyd, he should be dropped but will our manager do that? You were right about Bullard and it was painfully obvious as the game went on. What did our manager do about it?

Re: I'M SORRY TO SAY THIS LADS

Baked cheers for the reply.

I know your hurting after a damaging result & the manager is usually the first to cop it but I have to agree with you mate its his call to address such things, as I said earlier at Loftus Rd Bullard was swanning around for the first half hour pinging balls left right & centre until Warnock called Derry over & gave him the instructions we could all see he needed, within 2 mins Derry totally harassed Bullard & continued to do so for the duration of the game & effectively plugged Ipswich's outlet & we ran out 2-0 winners, I know DJ gets slated on here but fcuk me that is so obvious its painful.

I do still believe your players will get your manager out of the shit but its looking like its going to be a hairy ride till the end of the season.

Oh also people need to forget this 'our run in is the easiest' lark as yesterday proved with results at the CCS, City ground & Scunthorpe every game is a battle. :ayatollah:

agree totally.
i dont slate DJ but his tactics today were silly. i wanted bothroyd off in the 50th min, parkin needs more game time now

Re: I'M SORRY TO SAY THIS LADS

Nugent, when you signed Parkin I actually laughed as I thought bloody hell that's scraping the barrel, but when I thought about it he was actually the one think you lacked up front strength and a real fighter & I then started thinking shit they have all the ingredients now to challenge BUT since then I've hardly seen the man play is he getting games?

I know Bells, Chops & Jay look like the 3 obvious choices but one of them is robbing a living at the moment & I think a bit of a brute upfront will do you no end of good, will DJ have the bottle to make the big decision?

Would love ot see Parkin start against Palace this Tuesday night. This will be an ideal game for him.

Jay was awful yesterday and hasn't been at his best for a while now but to suggest chopra is twice the player is wrong! He was shocking yesterday and has been for large parts of the last 18 months! The sooner people stop kissing his ass and realise he is overweight big time and his touch and pace have gone the better! He needs to sort his life out!

I think Chopra shows alot more committment than Jay, alot more.

im not a dave jones fan never have never will be, but it was a strange game yesterday you cant blame him for the first half as we had no luck, second half a good manager would have taken bellamy and jay off for parkin and burke we needed width for fucks sake to change the game

Jay has been poor but all this stuff about chopras commitment is crap! He is a fat mess and needs to get his act together! He was woeful yesterday, just as bad as Jay! My mates, who were neutrals, who watched the game couldn't believe how poor he was!

Chopra was placed out of position, on the wing. Thats why he was poor yesterday.

Re: " I'M SORRY TO SAY THIS LADS "

Chopra being played on the wing was mental!!! Jones hadn't learned from the Swansea debacle but that doesn't excuse his abysmal touch and passing!

Ian

Chops and Bells both played out of position by DJ, when WILL DAVE JONES EVER LEARN.

he aint been the same player since he got his engand cap and lets be honest he only got that because so many strikers were injured, werent it reported lately that certain refs have told dj that they wont award free kicks in his favour because he s costantly falling on the floor from the slightest of touches

Did anyone see Suarez of Liverpool today - not as big as Bothroyd but held the ball up so well and wasn't falling over every time he was challenged- since his England cap Bothroyd seems to lost the form he had prior to that .

I can't see why people are moaning as first 45-60 minutes we gave them the run around but didn't get the goal we deserved and then Bullard scores with a fantastic strike and a deflection.

Come on 11 games to go and we just have to stay behind the team as we can still do it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

thats the big thing lets get behind the team for 90mins on tuesday like i do everygame. we need to be together as one for the rest of the season. i hate dave jones i think jay is lazy and needs to stay on his feet more bellamy isnt as good as what we thought he would be but all in all they are what we have till the end of the season so lets get behind the lads forget all this slating of players and managers and push our team onto promotion. i belive we will jus scrape 2nd but it wont be an easy ride so lets make it easier for the players by getting off their backs and encourage them even if they make mistakes.

stan, um, i just like to see how you cope with the pressure of only , 13 games, left, will you crumble?, i have said for months qpr will be in the playoffs, ok, results on the week end have changed my thinking to , they might just do it,,,, with us, we been there and done it, have we learnt?,and the funniest thing in this league is the bottom teams, there now starting to play, because they can see they could be relegated,we played scunthorpe, they came down here looking for a draw, once we scored, they played some good football, even though you are 8 points in front, this is going to the last couple of games , to decide the top 2,,,,,, im just saying your not home and safe, not that you said you were

i agree, 33 points left to play for, your only 9 in front

if you cock up and we beat you it could open it back up

nothing is over yet :ayatollah:

''Norwich-Another poxy awkward team to play against but are good at what they do''.

I also think norwich will be up there they might sneak that second spot come end of season if we f**k up.
forest will be upto full pelt in a few weeks once the team is regained and sharp.
but i think in the mean time they are going to drop too many points to grab second spot

First of all lads their is only 11 games left not 13 ;)

Secondly I totally agree no has been promoted yet but all I can base it on is a few simple things like;

Been top all season bar 1 weekend, that shows an amazing knack of consistency that I can't see stopping now.

20 clean sheets in 35 games is no fluke, we rarely concede so it always gives us the chance to nick goals=wins

Our manager imo is the very best in this division at man management & motivation their is no way in gods earth he will let these boys slack. He dropped both centre backs 3 games ago because they had 2 dodgy games, he's not afraid to make the big decisions.

I've been hearing since October that we're going to slip up, I'm still waiting.

We are 10 yes 10 points clear of you in 3rd with our GD that means to over take us you need to win 4 & us lose 4 to get past us, we've only lost 3 all season can you honestly see that happening? I can't.

Up till this weekend I was nervous but after yesterdays superb set of results for us I would now bet heavily on us seeing this through.

5 wins in my opinion will take us to 85 points which is promotion average.

Hand on heart you win the division but i feel that you wont walk it

That's fair enough mate. Its a funny ol game.

As I say we are pretty confident 5 wins will put us within a whisker & with Palace, Sheffield Utd, Derby & Barnsley all coming up and all very winnable that leaves game number 5 at yes the CCS

Picture that!! :D
