In all honesty Jujitsu has upped the tempo a bit now, at one time it wasn't really a competitive sport, whereas Judo was very competitive and fulfilled all my requirements for competition and a good scrap, I was never one for the artistic mysterious art form some people make it out to be, find a good yoga class if you want to meditate.
Jujitsu does combine a bit of aikido and karate, but it was more a defence thing and a bit of a jack of all trade sport with no real direction, but now with the mixed martial arts and cage fighting, it is upping the ante and a very up and coming sport.
Where Judo really comes into its own is the ground work grappling strangles and arm locks, thats why so many cage fighters take it up, when ever you watch these fights on telly, 90% of them finish up on the floor, so judo really comes into its own then.
