Re: If we fail to go up now, there's only one man to blame!

Here's a question for all you pro DJ fans. So if we don't go up, who would you blame? And would you be happy for Jones to lead us next season?

If we don't go up, I believe Jones would be to blame and I wouldn't want him anywhere near our club next season.

We are currently third and Forest are a point behind with a game in hand. We have been battling for second position most of the season. The reason we are stuck battling for second, and not walking this division by 10 points is because our defense lets us down. Would you be happy if we are battling for second place on the last game of the season with the possibility of missing out and ending in the playoffs? That's what I bet will happen unless we start being more ruthless at closing games out, but that will never happen as we have failed to strengthen our weak area of the team. It's a shame.

Thats not the same as saying we cant get promotion though is it???
As for the scenario you made up, no I wouldnt really be happy but thats one of a number of things that could happen.
BTW we did strengthen the defence

IMO if he doesnt take the squad up I think it would be the right time for both him and the club to part and this season would be down as a major failure, but it also wouldn't concern me to see him still in charge the following season.

So have Rhyl's Centre-Half's but I wouldn't have been too impressed if we had signed them ;)

Could have easily lost 3 points tonight if it wasn't for Bellamy's late free-kick, but we have still lost 2 points because of DJ's failure to improve our weak area. Both goals came from Naylor's side, more sloppy defending, how many more goals and how many more points are we going to lose because of DJ's stubborness?

Down to 5th now and I can see Dyer and Sinclair tearing our full backs apart Sunday. McNaughton was outstanding tonight and Hudson had another solid game, we have to keep these two as our centre backs for the time being. If we don't sign a decent left back on loan, we will not go up automatically.

Totally agree with every word in that post.

I think everyone agrees that Naylor is the weak link of our defense Annis. The question is, will DJ be big enough to bring in a new left back to replace him? Personally I don't think he will and I think this will cost us.

If we go up DJ takes All the Credit after 6 years of waiting, if We Fail Surely 6 years is longer enough. I could not bare another year of his Clueless Tactics.

why did DJ sign Martin John before we even got rid of Kennedy and where is he now ............. then when he goes he gets replaced by Naylor who at the time was just training with City coz Celtic released him and nobody else wanted him . Kev at left back when Keinan does actually play is a must BUT that still leaves Quinn or Matthews for RB who both can be found wanting at times ?
