I dont think the academy have had a game since way before xmas.

u12 from Barry , been in development centre for 4 years - not once looked at by Academy , just as Rovers offer him a place , City pipe up with " don't sign" come into us for 6 weeks - he didn't , he saw the smoke through the trees.

Spoke to a father the other day and he said Chelsea want to sign his son but would have to move to London.

That's the same thay happened to my boy, in the development 3yrs+ once hehad gone to Bristol then cardiff offered him a 6 week trial to late by then,they need a total revamp and a good look at there scouts and coaches

Read the post above mate. All singing and Dancing it isn't - scouting network ? pensioners who spend more time on their allotments. in fairness to them they dont get looked after so you cant blame them.

To give you another example - an u13 development centre in Cardiff had 4 lads leave last week in their words " because its shit" - that leaves 3/4 of them who now have to move to U14 to make up the numbers. Honestly you couldnt make it up, everything is dressed as wedding cake , when its sponge and jam in the middle really.

Let me tell you about one real top player at Bristol, hes quality, play u13- lives Cardiff. Cardiff wanted him back, he thought about it and went along to only last one session , said this is shit and told his old man he would rather do the travelling ( which is murder week days) that says something !

southampton's academy seems very strong and well run i think they have had a good academy for a few years?
