Carl lets us know what is happening as supporters thats what we like is the news about our club and soon as we can get it.

We are all very grateful however there is a group for what ever reason slag him off for no reason as they have nothing on Carl as 95.5% he is right.

Everyone get somethings wrong I had a email from Ridsdale whe he was the club chairman and official text from Cardiff City saying we had signed marcus bent and we all know what happend there.

So when someone starts having a go at Carl we do get a bit defensive as his updates are the most interesting and has more facts than any other site and I pesonally want it to continue and many other supporters do too

As do I valleyrambill. But let's not turn Carl into a idol that cannot be questioned, as the inevitable happens when people are put up on a pedestal. The over-defensiveness puts some people off contributing to the debate for fear of ridicule and abuse from 'the regulars' and that's a loss to the debates. I haven't 'slagged him off'. Far from it - and I'm sure he's a big enough boy to let me know if I offend him at any time. However if I believe something is/was incorrect I have the right to say so, as is anybody else to me in reverse as long as neither make it personally abusive in any way.

There is a high degree of 'us and them' appearing on both MB's and it's not good to see amongst fellow fans who should all stick together as god knows there's plenty of people out there happy to be derogatory towards City fans without doing it to each other. Perhaps we the fans are feeling a bit of the pressure now!

My point earlier was that I never said that the meeting was last night or today, just that I had been told that a meeting was planned.

However, when a prominent poster with his own blog over on CCMB feels free to make two terminally unfunny threads aimed at mocking Carl's updates, it does make you wonder what's going on. Said poster has routinely been given the freedom to patronise and condescend posters there for years; indeed, your idol point also applies to him. When his own hypocracy with regards to "hooligan" books was exposed, he actually disappeared for a while. And now seems to post only with a sole agenda of attacking this site.

It's pretty clear there's an "us and them" appearing when he's free to act as a divisive influenece, spreading bile.

An idol that cannot be questioned

Its a messageboard FFS. If Carl is given the wrong information from time to time
then woopy-fucking-dooo. Who's perfect?? erm.. nobody. His updates are pretty
much spot on. But nobody thinks its the word of God. Also, people should stop
jumping all over the ones who see fit to have a pop, let them crack on. Ive not
met Carl, spoke to him on the blower, he seems a pretty good lad and im positive
hes not made of glass and can fight his own 'online' battles lads

There are obviously one or two dead childish shit-stirrers... i just cant believe that
anyone bites.
