It's no big deal Jonesy praising loyal, passionate fans, it should be a normal practice for this to happen. Us the supporters will still be here when Jonesy, Bothroyd, VT, et al have all departed for pastures anew, we shouldn't have to call for the players to come over to us and applaud, it should be a matter of the players/manager doing what's right, we've applauded their good moves and plays on the pitch, we've chanted their names, the least we should expect is a little recognition of our support at the end of the game, not too much to ask is it? Or is it?!

"I would very much like to say that as always the supporters have been absolutely outstanding for us and a real asset to what we're trying to do," Dave said. "I understand fans frustrations, especially when making long trips to Middlesbrough to a disappointing outcome. But we all need to keep driving on and to maximise on all of the positives around the place, of which there are many.
"As far as we're concerned we just want to get out there and play and to get back to winning ways, which we'll look to do this weekend against Coventry City on Boxing Day. At the moment we know very well that the results haven't gone well for us, but again, with the bigger picture of the entire season in mind we're where we all wanted to be. Now we want to take it to the next level, which is something we'll need to do together as a club. Fans, players, staff, coaches - everyone connected to the club, we're all in this together."
