Its true. Its a good thing.

If the words Nigger and Paki are so offensive then why do black people and Asians refer to each other using those expressions? I have heard black music artists include the word Nigger in songs and an Asian businessman tried trade marking the word Paki as a clothes label a few years ago.

OK I can understand if someone finds being called something offensive (e.g. referring to any woman as a slag) but if that same person then calls either themselves or others by that name then they can't possibly claim to be offended or find it racist.

Also there can never be an official situation where the terms only become ‘racist’ when used by whites as that would be outright racism towards that racial group and would do nothing to improve relationships and just cause more hostility.

The answer to our integration problems is very much on the shoulders of the immigrants themselves. Firstly they need to become less sensitive. I have heard the expression Kaffir used many times and it is a derogatory racial term used by Muslims towards non-believers.

The term has all the historical connotations of the word Paki, the only difference being no indigenous person would take offence if a Muslim directed that term towards them even though technically a complaint to the Police under race relation laws could be made.

The reason why we don’t is that in this country we have a culture of using nicknames/pet names without meaning to cause offense. IMO there is nothing wrong with educating immigrants to understand this rather than filling their heads with every white person is a racist and a nice fat compensation cheque might be available if they play their cards right.

Secondly strong questions have to be asked about Mosques, such as the one in Luton where the Stockholm bomber worshiped and why they are not reporting extremist behaviour.

Also it’s about time we learnt just what is being preached in these Mosques, after all services are conducted in a foreign language and anything is possible to what is being said including cohesion to keep quiet about known terrorist activities in the community.

Nicknames in Wales particularly are often born of a piss-take, we are a nation of
people who call each other by nicknames (more than the rest of Britain) There is
a Police Inspector in North Wales who has been known as Ste Paki since he was a
kid. He is not from Pakistan, and he is a very popular feller. It IS an unfortunate
nickname, but was never one used with hatred in mind. I think he has some Greek
in the family from many moons back.
