The whole thing sounds a bit cock and bull.

I wonder if TNT is posting on Plymouths MB as much as he did on here? Is his fascination the Riddler or is it Cardiff City?

Hmm. One thing I'm good at is smelling rats.

We now hear the man wasn't really Ridsdale's dad. That would be impossible. No, he merely thought it was Ridsdale's dad. Which is why he repeatedly referred to Ridsdale's father rather than doing what anyone else would do, and write something like "there with a man who may have been his dad". Indeed, quite what relevance Ridsdale's relationship to the man is/was is irrelevant to the tale anyway.

So what can we tell from this post? The premise has been shown to be false; it's a mashup of previously revealed information. The new item about Borley seems kosher... I'm just wondering if the cock and bull story around it has been designed to discredit previously revealed information.

Or TNT made a simple mistake? We have all made assumptions which have proved wrong and I bet everything that you have done the same at some point in your life.

Annis and Joff have both confirmed the basis of the information is true and has been known to them for some time. I accept it is reasonable to speculate whether the conversation between Ridsdale and one other ever took place with TNT conveniently sat behind, but for me it's the quality of the information about Cardiff City which counts and that has been confirmed as very good.

I wouldnt have took you for being gullible Tony.

That is a matter of opinion Tim.

But my reasoning is both Annis and Joff have confirmed the basis of the information as being true and has been known to them for some time. Carl also said Vincent Tan is taking a more active role in the club and conducted due diligence recently.

TBH I'm not in the slightest bit interested in whether Ridsdale's father is alive, dead or missing in action on some kind of canoe/life insurance scam; so that part of TNT's post is not relevant to me.

However, my opinion (not fact) is TNT is a journalist (or works in the media somewhere) so his story might be second-hand from a source or he might be protecting source by presented his information the way he did.

Point for me, Tony, is that the only new information that's not been publicly available is the Borley money. Everything else is basically a rehash of information already out there.

Plus, if true, TNT has outed himself as an egger :p

the info about the borley money came from me and was discussed in a telephone conversation with people on this board.
bearing in mind that tnt was always current with ridsdale to not know that ridsdales father had passed away and then what are the odds of being sat behind him at twickenham not withstanding the fact that that same day ridsdale was reported to be cavorting with the directors of plymouth argyle.
in one paragraph he describes due diligence as not being completed and in another paragraph says no due diligence took place at all.
to me the whole post was a smokescreen to divert attention from a previous topic which was in my view over sensationalised.
i dont believe the post was by tnt and if he made that mistake about ridsdales dad why no post it instead of sending a pm.
