what do you achieve by members only?

So you're saying that all members should be voting yes?

I dont care if people are members are not. I assume those not registered
cannot post is all?
If this is all about Carls updates, and perhaps not wanting people from the other board scabbing
info from AAMB, then say so. Its a fair point.
My personal reasoning is this:
The success of 'Messageboards' are generally gauged on the number of hits it gets, and not the
number of those registered. If AAMB becomes a members only board, it will definitely not GAIN
more viewers/posters... it will stunt its growth somewhat. If there is an easy way to perhaps
just pass on Carls updates via PMs to members then there you have an option. But if non-members
cannot see the updates, many may well decide not to bother, and give the board a miss altogether!
EVERY time someone clicks on this messageboard its improves the figures. Even the Jacks/QPR idiots
who just come on here to slag us off help this board grow.
Censorship in any shape or form will probably affect figures. Worth thinking about is all
