The police told City officials and Bellamy that they would still be arresting the fan and will be charging him if video footage shows that he had entered the field of play.
Jay Bothroyd is likely to make his England debut tonight and there is much concern amongst fans about what it will mean to his Cardiff career, I know that the club are making plans and DJ is lining up replacements in the event of Jay leaving in January. I am told from sources close to Jay that he plans to see out his contract with City and then see what his options are in May.
That does not mean that Jay will not be leaving in January because there are many situations that could arise during the transfer window, ie. if a bid is made, how much is on offer ? also who is the club making the offer ? Would VT or TG allow us to miss out on a guaranteed payment in January against a possible goldmine ( Premiership ) in May ? These are all factors amongst others that will determine whether Jay is still here in February. Another point to consider is, if City turn down all bids and gamble on gaining promotion with Jay, what would happen if he suffered a serious injury ?
If Jay is to move on I am aware that London would certainly provide the biggest lure to him, his family and friends are all live in London and Jay loves the place but I guess it is going to be a case of watch this space.
I was told of the many scouts who were at Scunthorpe on Saturday and that many of them were impressed with the performance of Bothroyd but on Sunday I took a call to say that Birmingham are understood to be lining up a double bid for both Jay and Burke in January. Alex McLeish knows Burke from his time at Rangers and as Scotland manager and he is well aware of their contract situations and is looking to exploit it.
I know that many of you are not interested in the politics behind the scenes but I must point out to you that over the forthcoming weeks there is going to be a lot of talk and negotiations betwen Langston and the club, proposals have been made by both sides to settle the debt and both are determined to have it done and dusted one way or another by the end of this year.
Langston want to end their association with the club and the club wish to settle the debt with Langston by using the option of early repayment before the end of the year otherwise the figure rises drastically to above a minimum of £26million. It is my understanding that both sides expect to have the paperwork and negotiations finalised no later than December 15th 2010.
Whatever the settlement is will finally see an end to an uncertain debt that has brought uncertain times for the football club and I like thousands of others just want to see the whole Langston affair settled once and for all, because it does not matter who runs the club and who is owed money, it is us the fans who ultimately suffer. These are exciting times for the club on the pitch and if the Langston affair is ended soon then that will be a massive boost to us too.
We are coming into the colder months and frost and we know that our pitch is going to take a hammering and I was in a conversation with the staff that look after the pitch and they said how they could do with the artificial lighting required to help the pitch grow during the cold but because of the budgets handed down they are not able to buy them and even if they were given the funds now would be too late as there is a minimum of 3 months waiting time to have them delivered so they would be no use to the club in having them in February.
Talking to officials regarding the sell out of QPR I was told that we could have no doubt sold 6000 tickets for the fixture had they have been available but on the otherhand the club are surprised at what is expecting to be a rather low crowd against Forest in comparison to recent attendances. The club expect a crowd in the low 22,000 bracket and would be very surprised if we got to 23,000. So for those of you who have not done the guess the crowd for a signed book by Annis, I have just given you a good chance. Forest are bringing just over 1000 with them.
The QPR game will see a group of 15 Malaysians in attendance as guests of the club so I suggest we get the Malatsian flags out and show our support again for their committment to our club.
Former City star Warren Feeney is back in his home recovering from his back injury suffered in training last week and he has asked me to pass on his gratitude for the get well messages he received from our members last week. On the subject of Oldham FC, have a guess who has shown his face there, yea you got it Peter Ridsdale. PR met with their Chairman last week and has attended their last 3 home games and has tried to sell himself to their club like he has done with many other clubs in the past few months. I do wonder what has happened to the clubs that PR told friends about that he claimed were lining up to capture his services.
Regarding injuries, I am assured that despite pulling out of the Scotland squad Chris Burke will be fit to face Forest on Saturday and that also is the same for Darcy Blake and Lee Naylor. DJ has a near full strength squad and is only waiting on Chris Riggott. Speaking with someone close to Jason Koumas, I am told that DJ takes his time with players who have not played much football in recent months and also those returning from injuries, I am told that the players trust in DJ's management of players in these situations and Koumas himself believes that DJ knows how to get the most out of players returning from injury and once he believes they are ready he will put them in and wants theose players to keep the shirt.
On Monday afternoon players like Riggott and Koumas will have the chance to build their fitness when they play against Swansea reserves, the venue has not been decided yet but it is likely to be played at the Vale or at Afan Lido in Port Talbot.
Also on Monday the house of sport is officially opened and I know that TG is getting involved with bringing in talented youngsters from Malaysia and putting them in the house of sport academy this summer where Cardiff City will obviously get first look and refusal on any players. Also I know the club will be looking at it from a commercial side and the benefits that would impact on having a Malaysian player in our side.
On the 23rd November this Forum celebrates it's first birthday and we are currently enjoying over 40,000 diferent ip's hitting this website every month, there have been great moments shared by the members over the first year but I can announce today a very important landmark we have reached.
As of today http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk is now an affiliated travel provider for Cardiff City Fans. What does that mean for us ?
It has 3 main benefits, firstly you are now represented through this forum at meetings between the club and myself. If you have any concerns relating to the club then we now have the platform to say them and for them to be dealt with.
Secondly as an official travel provider I will be block booking tickets for away games so therefore you can book your seat on the coach and match ticket through myself, so as long as you are using our coaches then the worry of getting tickets will be my worry not yoursSo make sure you use our coach for future travel to guarantee your ticket.
Thirdly when there are bubble matches like Bristol City and Swansea City this forum will be running it's own coach and we will travel as members of this forum together.
There will be http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk travel club phone number as of Monday 22nd November 2010 which is specific for travel questions and bookings, the number is 07747633537.
This forum is making huge strides to provide fans with the knowledge from within the club, a forum to discuss everything City and a chance to meet new friends and now we provide an officially recognised travel club, we will continue to act on behalf of the fans and long may it prosper.
As an abuse of position, I would like to wish Alison, my patient, understanding and wonderful better half a very happy birthday.

Good to speak to you again the other evening - sorry for interrupting your beef dinner![]()
Just a point of clarification on the Langston debt. It is ALREADY in the books at the £26m+ figure , it won`t go UP to that. The opportunity for the club here is to REDUCE the figure down to £10m and pay it off , which will IMPROVE the current accounts by £16m+
I am delighted with your comment that Langston (i.e. Sam) now want to end their association with the club because , as you know , I see no benefit and only danger in him having any future role of any influence at the club. Hopefully , your view that both sides hope to clear up the matter by the middle of next month will turn out to be correct and the club can once and for all put this matter to bed and move on.

Keith it is good to have you back on the board and the beef was delicious![]()
My wording could have been better regarding the £10 million to £26 million come January 1st. I want fans to understand that the club ( not Malaysians ) have the opportunity to reduce the debt and it was the club that asked Langston for a 'Final' settlement figure so they could approach investors with the figure to help with bringing in new investment.
Now we all know who is putting money into Cardiff City at present and it is Vincent Tan, we are all aware that Vincent Tan has done the due diligence on the books and knew the figures prior to investing.
Langston want to end their association by helping the club and not hindering it's progress, I am going to put my neck on the line here and face the grief that I expect will follow but in the time throughout Langston being owed money they have never threatened to put the club under or into administration, this was all BS fed to us by Peter Ridsdale.
Langston stopped this club from going under when Citibank called in their loans, Langston could have stayed out of it and the club would have gone under. I cannot deny that I am a supporter of Sam Hammam and I am privileged to speak with him on a regular basis and in life I have not forgotten my roots and I don't forget what people have done for me but it saddens me that some fans seem to have forgotten Sam Hammam now because there is a new kid on the block. That is not meant to be disrespectful to you or even Vincent Tan but I believe there is a place for Sam Hammam at Cardiff City Football Club and I would love nothing more that Sam to be here along with our Malaysian investors.

You are not being disrespectful at all which is why you and I can still get on even when we disagree on big issues like Sam`s attempts to return to the club.
You are right in saying that Langston stepped in with a replacement loan when Citibank could not be repaid. However ,I firmly believe that Sam and his family were obliged to pay the Citibank money back anyway under personal guarantees so that there was no extra cost in them stepping in as Langston at the time. The reason for that belief is that the club had virtually no assets with which to repay Citibank , so the shortfall would have to be covered by the "outside" security they took (i.e. that provided by Sam and his family).
Langston then lent the money to the club unsecured against the club`s assets. If they were a normal lending institution like Citibank they would have not have done so without similar guarantees as the club still had no real saleable assets to pay them back. And if they were a venture capital investor , they would have taken a shareholding in the club , which they didn`t (Sam`s company Rudgwick continued to hold 83% of the shares). That`s what leads me to believe that Sam and his family are Langston (despite his denials) and that they would have had to cough up the Citibank debt anyway.
As for Sam`s return , I really can`t see what useful role he could be given that would benefit the club in any way. I think most fans agree he shouldn`t be let anywhere near the finances again , so what else would he do?
I have seen an argument that he would have some kind of "football role" , but what exactly? I don`t see that he has any more contacts in football than a vastly experienced manager like Dave Jones has (in fact he probably has far less as the game has moved on even in the short period Sam has been away) so wouldn`t help improve the squad quality. So could he negotiate player contracts? I would hope not as he has no legal qualifications and , during his time at the club , got a lot of players to join the club by paying well over the top in terms of transfer fees and wages to come here.It may have been necessary at the time when we were in the lower divisions , but not now so I am far from convinced that he has the skills that the club now needs on the playing squad front.
A third option I have seen mentioned is a role with the Academy. But again what exactly would he contribute? On 3 seperate occasions I have now directly heard Dave Jones , TG and U-Jian Tan say what a wonderful job Neil Ardley continues to do with the Academy development , so why any need for change there?
So what exactly would Sam do that would be of benefit to the club if he got involved again? I am not trying to be confrontational on this , I have genuinely just not seen anything to support an argument in his favour.Would love to enter into a sensible debate with anyone who sees it differently and could explain what he would do as I may well have missed something important.

Keith you have missed an important point, maybe Sam coming back could wipe out the Langston debt and truly rid the club of £26+million from it's books.
If A.N.OTHER came forward and offered to settle the debt and have a place on the board and help run the club would you have an objection ?

That`s a fair point , the honest answer to which is "probably not" (except if it was Ridsdale).
But there still remain several fundamental questions left unanswered.
If Langston are not Sam , then why is it a condition that he comes back on the board? As long as they get their money , why would they care? The value of their recoverable debt has gone down by at least £16m under Sam`s control so he would hardly appear to be first choice for them.
If Sam is Langston (hence the above condition) then why has he consistently lied about it , and could he be trusted not to mislead evrybody about such major issues again in the future?
How exactly could Sam have a director role that would help run the club in the future? Based on his actual track record , I have no faith that he could add any value , as explained in my response on the other thread.
But if it got a substantial debt written off and there was no other alternative , provided he was given only a notional place on the board in name only with no power whatsoever , I could hardly object. But could you really see Sam as the type of character that would allow himself to be "sidelined" and ignored in such a way? He wouldn`t be able to restrain from interfering , and that`s where I believe he would be dangerous again.

Anyone going to answer this?
I am well aware that Carl Curtis has already raised this issue on Annis` messageboard but I refuse to ever post on there again. No problem with Carl - he and I have had many a grown up debate or reasoned argument over many topics over a long period. But I think a response is required on some issues raised and claims made.
The debate is over whether fans would be happy for Sam to be given a role back at the club as part of the deal to settle the Langstone debt.
I should stress that I have no personal gripe with Sam either. I have only met him personally on a few occasions and have had a handful of (very long!) telephone conversations with him about all things CCFC.On all those occasions he has been most friendly , even when we disagreed strongly on things. And I would add that he very kindly sent me a personal message earlier this year on the birth of my first grandchild. So for those who would wish to accuse me of having a go at Sam to support their own agenda , it is simply not true.
Carl has posted that Sam was offered a directorship some weeks ago as part of the negotiations and I have no doubt that that is what Sam has told Carl , as Sam has often disclosed details of his meetings with the club through the medium of the messageboard , and the claim may well be true.
