But whatever happens we must keep hold of Jay until the end of the season or we could really struggle.
If Jay did leave in January or at the end of the season then I would thank him for his efforts in a City shirt and wish him all the best.

some big clubs like man utd will buy a player like jay then loan him out, as he develops as a player they will then call him back..... a big club like man utd could afford to do this with jay![]()
He is 28

We are TOP of the fifth biggest league in Europe (money, crowd wise..after Prem, LL, SA and Bund)...so, you know, he's gonna get attention isn't he?
Remember he was always the unfulfilled talent Jay...been shite at Blackburn and Coventry since a stella youth career at the Arse.
He's come to a decent league and done decent last year (we hardly went up as fuckin Champions..a la the Geordies and Carrol and co did we?)...so you know? Be cool.
The kid has been decent this year..but Man U? Like someone said...his agent must be rubbing his hands...and remember these parasites...all they care about is their 12.5%..Cardiff City? Helping him along? Your having a laugh mate aren't you? Stoke are into him for 30 a week so he's OFSKI!!
What's actually draw dropping is City fans going on about him making the England squad and creaming themselves like a bunch of JLS fans who've just managed to get tickets...
We're a WELSH club...always have been. We ARE Wales's away support...who gives a f**k about England?
Congrats my arse...you think English team managers are happy when a player comes to play for us? Or their fans?
to say congrats is like thanking someone burgling your house....get fuckin real.
If he goes..let him go. Not one modern player will stay at a club he doesn't want too...not one.
Ronaldo was at the joint biggest club in the world..and went to the other.
If Jay (and his agent) wants to go...let him go.
We cant do f**k all about it....so let's get some cash at least.
Personally I'd like to see him stay. He's been great this year...but I'd rather keep Bellamy.
After all, he didn't take us up last year did he? And we all know that he came off in the P/O final...and the rumours about playing on etc..
The fact of the matter is this.
Players..managers...chairman...they are all transient...and we are Cardiff City fans.
We have to calm down and realise the club will go on.
Panicking about Jay going isn't going to help.
Sure he'll help us go up...but if HE and his agent wants to go then nothing we can do about that is there.
Let's see if we can keep him till we make the Prem..and then take it from there.
But either way, Man U? England? My guess is another Ledley, Jerome or Chops...
Life will go on.

How low down the players wage list would Jay have been on 8k a week?

That did make me chuckle!
He stays with us regardless of what HE wants to do...we own his ass till the 1st July....
Let him get us promoted then if he wants to go he can....if we don't get promoted then let him go for a free and with our best wishes!!![]()

Being serious I think this kind of thing is pretty normal when a player gets a surprise international call up. I can remember Ninian Park being packed with scouts when Lee Jarman got a surprise call up to the Welsh squad when Bobby Gould was in charge.
