Yet teams like bury are badly run didn’t pay their bills and left local businesses out of pocket and probably worse and took jobs from people. And they the victims and should have been helped more. I just don’t get it? Seems more people upset they took titles from their beloved Liverpool and Man U. Shame more owners don’t break up the top tier clubs that everyone bending over backwards to protect.

Cheating is just spending more money though isn't it. It didn't put the club in danger which the rules are designed to stop, every one of these clubs is inventive with their book keeping and some just get away with things (United 40m COVID). No idea what your issue with City seems to be, I wish we had owners like that

It goes way beyond ‘just spending money’ though, doesn’t it? Look at what they ‘won’ unfairly during that period for starters

My personal opinion of FFP (or whatever it’s now called) is pretty low, and I think clubs should be able to spend more of their owners money, if (the key word) they can afford it. But rules is rules, and they’ve been caught. Others (I’m sure they are out there being ‘inventive’ with their books) may or may not follow, and judgement on them made at that point

I never had an issue with Citeh until this. In my book, it was a blatant action to gain an advantage, and against the rules in place, and I repeat, I’d say the same of any club who did similar

The spirit of those rules that they broke where to stop teams going to the wall. A few elite teams have decided that they can use that to block everyone else ever challenging them. That's cheating just because you've managed to get some idiot to write it into the laws doesn't make it right. I'd much prefer a system where a billionaire can come to your club and your suddenly a top team than it be the same few clubs forever because they've managed to become big enough to sell T-shirts in Asia. I hope City win the title and stick it to all the plastic fans around the country

Shows the greed of them...... and yes they don't want clubs breaking monopoly guessing this is how it all came about to overcome the blocking? Newcastle as suffered most from elite blocking they are world's richest club but cannot use any money as elite 6 blocked their spending power....

Well since ffp has come in we've seen clubs like Brentford,Bournemouth and Brighton get in to the prem and stay there for significant periods
So it shows that smaller clubs still can have success if run well

And when you consider that Liverpool didn't win the prem until around 2019/20, Arsenal's last season was their first since early to mid 2000s and Man utd haven't won it in about 13 or so years and yet in that time we've seen Leicester win it, I don't see how it only favours the big 4 clubs

Yet Man city have been able to cruise through in the top 2 for the past decade and people say they would rather Man city win it

The thing is the big clubs will always have money because their success has been viewed worldwide and they have a global fan base because of it
So they will generate lots of income from merchandise sales alone

If people think that it should be OK for billionaires to come into clubs and splash as much cash as they want and then buy their way to the top,
then they can't have an issue with the big clubs always having more money to spend either because then thats a double standard

And as for the greedy American business owners thats a separate issue
Man utd are always protesting to get the glazers out because they take from them and don't put money in
So i agree the owners should be forced to sell the club,
But that is a Man utd problem that only affects them if anything so I don't get what that has to do with Man City intentionally cheating the rules to buy success in the league
