BBM is completely out of his depth.

He’s getting out coached already and it’s only been seven games.

He's certainly not adjusting to each opposition team as he prepares for each game and he's certainly not changing anything during the game based on what he's seeing in front of his eyes.

Even when it makes a sub, the incoming player seems to just repeat the role of outgoing one - mistakes included.

Not a problem in L1, totally unfeasible in the Championship.

Today was typical example of not adjusting? They changed formation and throughout 2nd half they looked better going forward and kept more possession to such extent almost 50/50 in stats.... whilst people may say didn't have anyone to change game on bench he could have changed formation take ineffective Tanner or Willock either one and put Ashford with Salech and go more long ball or certainly quicker pace going forward? We simply didn't give them anything to worry them despite the shots total ! Goal came from simply making wrong decision at back simple ball to trott or let him collect ball and goal doesn't happen! But teams know we have a weakness for bad decision making at back and so it proved to be case.

There's a bit of a gap between us and the clubs above already. Need that win urgently, perhaps 2 on the bounce to be fair.

Why take 40 passes when 6 will do. We don't move the ball quick enough we don't counter attack quickly enough. Possession Football is OK we try to play our way through defences which is fine if you take your half chances but we are not. We got away with it last year because majority of teams were poor,we've allways said anybody can beat anybody in this league.

To do these kinds of roles, you need an almost god-like sense of self-belief.

I honestly believe BBM and the club thought the stats from last season's team pointed to us being a mid-table championship club. It's whether you consider the loss of Wintle and Kellyman with Moylan and Beliek equal? So we only had to improve a few areas if those players became available. He won't panic buy

I think he is willing to give "his" players a chance to prove they are good enough, and he is good enough to improve them into championship players

I think we only have to be better than 3 clubs and we'll do that

I think you are right with your 2nd paragraph about the club thinking their impressive stats from last season would transpire to a mid table finish in the championship. Would also explain why they thought strengthening the team wasn't that important. 1 or 2 players in and we'll be fine.

Yep. He also said after the Stoke game, he only made 1 late sub because he sensed everything was going to plan and there was no need to do anything different. As it happened, we didn't get the winner, despite dominating, but it is completely indicative of his mentality.
