We conceded directly from a long throw at Portsmouth, that's inexcusable.
We conceded another soft goal against Stoke from a direct long ball and comical defending.
I'm wondering if we will ever manage to keep a clean sheet this season.
Until we learn to defend properly and keep clean sheets, we will continue to drop points, we will stay in the relegation zone and I will continue to worry.
It doesn't matter how well we play. We need to learn to defend properly, otherwise we will keep conceding soft goals and we will get relegated.
It really is that simple.
It's because our best three central defenders are out, and the keeper is making mistakes, flapping, and not commanding his area as well as he normally does, with this shaky defence.
Take Arsenal's best three centre-backs out, and even they would look less confident.
With Fish and Lawlor we would have probably six more points.

We're missing Lawlor but our problem is the rest of our centre backs frequently cost us at League 1 level last season, so they will continue to cost us this season.
Hopefully, Bielik proves to be a useful addition, but I'm not convinced yet.
Fish and Chambers regularly made mistakes that cost us last season, so if they keep playing this season, we will simply concede way too many soft goals and get relegated.
