Re: BBM - Cementhead

I know I'm going to get hammered for bringing this thread to the top again.

No doubt I will be accused of being too negative.

But read the OP again and tell me I'm wrong.

The last 2 games against Stoke and Bolton have reinforced about every point I made.

BBM will not change his approach and our season will continue in the same way.

Imagine pushing this absolute f*cking bollocks on your own manager.

BBM will go onto great things, the liklihood of that being under this board and this "support" is very unlikely.

No idea where you getting that from. He’s an inexperienced unproven manager. And he’s not young. Why’s it taken him this long to get to where he is with such amazing talent?

There are 34 managers in the football league older than him. Everyone that keeps pushing he will go on to great things is deluded, hes a one trick pony good at bringing through youth, but aside from that he is pretty useless. He isnt young and his level is as a loeer league manager, jeez hes not far off 50, that is a seasoned employee in every other walk of life.

There are only 6 managers older than him in the championship.
The average age of a manger in the championship is 41.4. Maybe he’s only got the job because we desperate and no one else wanted him. He shouldn’t have achieved these great and wonderful things you speak of.

He's over-hyped.

Everyone picks out the Man City academy stuff - he had £10m, £15m, £20m U21 players from across the world in the richest academy in the world. They were all attracted by Pep's reputation. His job was to babysit these prospects until they might be ready for Pep to use. Actually, there weren't that many.

Nobody mentions his Leicester and Rochdale relegations, or the disastrous runs in those seasons and his point blank refusal to change his approach. Ever.

And we're back to my original OP.

Well, we are certainly pretty desperate now and not many other clubs are going to want him.

And like a week ago, i fully agree with you, nice football is getting us nowhere a week on, yes, pretty football and about 400 shots a game, but all fired from an almost blank pistol.

Just a willingness to change the plan before it's too late would at least show some understanding of the situation but I don't think it's going to happen.

We've battered Stoke and Bolton, why would he change the plan? 400 shots a game makes it sound like Tan is the manager and we are taking dips from everywhere. We've hit the post, bar, missed open goals, had chances clawed off the line, we are making great chances, the system he's built works someone just needs to put the ball in the net.

Because we got 1 point from those two batterings and anyone watching, bar BBM, knew exactly how it was going to go.

Just a tiny bit of change could work, just a small concession/fresh face in the window could have worked, just a couple of half time subs could work but he's incapable of any of that.
