It was BBM who refused new players

Glen Williams trying to tell us BBM couldn’t find a player to improve our squad depth? BBM is either a massive liar protecting the Tan and co or that Glen Williams is talking absolute rubbish.

I think it's true. Players turned us down so why sign the wrong players and ruin everything that is going well in the dressing room?

I can understand players turning us down but every manager should have a plan B or C if they fail to land their main targets. We had 3/4 months to sort this out. Clubs a shambles.

Hardly a shambles, things are going well on the pitch.

Why accept second choice if they don't add anything to the squad? I agree with this approach and I believe it because Glen has no reason to make it up.

I don’t believe on any level that there wasn’t a striker out there capable of being second fiddle to Salech and coming in to give him some breathing in room in games it looks like we’ve already won at the 70 minute mark or so without having to change our shape and style like we’re going to have to if it’s Robinson or Davies

Personally I think what Glen says rings 100% true.

People would rather us sign another Etete (and then moan when it didn't work out).

I don’t think Glen is lying my problem more so is with BBM who appears to have his standards set too high?

Anyone can see we needed a striker in, considering most teams only play with 1 there is probably a surplus of even 3rd choice strikers who would have done a job as 2nd choice here.

I get the feeling with BBM’s signings that the players have to be as good as if not better than who’s currently in the starting 11 in that position. I don’t think that’s entirely sustainable with someone like Salech and now we’re going into the season without someone to slot in for 20 minutes to help see a game out.

I don't think there is a surplus of strikers. It's not 15 years ago when there where loads of different types of Strikers, hardly any Earnies or Chopras about because they can't lead the line, like you said most teams play one up front and everyone wants a 6ft 4 tank who can head pass and shoot

Wouldn’t be surprised if its players like we have recruited before, the club not learning their lessons and not aligning their scouting to find players with certain attributes, probably doing it last minute too - always try to be a window in advance! Start looking at January options NOW.

I'm not sure where the idea that Tan, Choo and Dalman are running around with lists of players for BBM has come from. I heard they had a list at the start of last year which made sense as they didn't exactly make a quick appointment but what was said was he said no and since then has sorted his own recruitment. He picks the players and Tan says yes or no, or the player says no

So the manager did not have a list of players he wanted for a Good 3=4 months ????
