I get what you're saying but I've always said that the target for the first season should be staying up.

Is this your next angle you are gonna shove down everyone's throats now is it...that we'll stave off relegation comfortably.

I just can't take u seriously pal. You go out of your way to just wind people up down you. It's hilarious

Hardly a new angle when I've been saying it for a while.

But I know you love nothing more than having a pop at me for no reason. Speaks volumes that your only post on this thread has been to respond to what I've said in that way.

I've heard you say it once or twice yes inbetween all the 'patience' b0ll0cks and 'why dont all of you stop being so dense and entitled'. I'm sure we are all going to be hearing it a hell of a lot more...starting from round about now.

Just to join in with the thread though. The club has yet again shown no ambition. Signed 2 players we had last year, swapped 2 and we're going again with what we've got. It's quite the opposite to showing ambition.

Massive shame after an excellent reset last season.

Yeah, I'm disappointed my patience hasn't been rewarded. I honestly thought we'd have a couple in today, although I didn't know because I'm not ITK.

I'm not telling anybody not to be angry or telling people who to blame because the window is as good as done now.

It is disappointing and I'll accept that I was wrong. Reports that players turned us down but I don't really know what to believe.

This really isn’t a dig at you personally, and I’m sorry if it feels like I’m constantly disagreeing with you, but surely the bigger question is why did they turn us down?

We’ve looked like we were going to get promoted since Christmas, and we actually secured promotion on 18 April. We’ve had months to prepare for this.

Yes, two players might have turned us down today, but for me that just highlights how late we’ve left things. If we’re scrambling around trying to get deals done now, then it doesn’t feel like these players were properly targeted and recruited in the first place.

There’s no hiding place in football, and the worst part is that our next-door neighbours have completely embarrassed our board with the way they’ve gone about their business.

That’s incredibly difficult to defend.

Yeah that's fair. Some signs point to Choo not being good in negotiations but I don't know that for sure.

Others have said BBM might be the problem, but that would suprise me given how much all our current players love playing for him.

Re: AMBITION?

I’m incredibly angry with the board, but right now, our players need us more than ever.

BBM’s reaction tomorrow will be very interesting. He will be the one facing the music instead of the one's who should be fronting up. I’d imagine he’ll remain completely professional and toe the line publicly, but behind the scenes, you have to wonder whether he’ll now be looking for the first opportunity to get out.

What a mess.

We obviously needed a few more players in than what we got in.
Its disappointing we didn't get more we are in the bottom 4 for what the squad is worth about 35 million.
Mid championship worth about 105 million top championship worth 200 plus million per squad.
So again tan is gambling and if we stay up it will be a very successful season anything more its an excellent season.
Guess we just have to wait and see what happens but we defo needed more players so im disappointed

Agree with everything you've said there and you have to wonder what the hell has made the player/s turn us down if indeed they have. Is it the money we've offered them ? Did whoever does our negotiations piss them off so much that no amount of money was enough to change their minds? Is it the manager (very doubtful indeed)? Is it where we are (not if players are going to Swansea)? Are their parent teams just expecting too much from us given what Wrexham are willing to pay?

A bit of everything or none of the above?

Something somewhere has gone horribly wrong and given that BBM was happy after his meeting with the head clown & signed a new contract it looks more likely that someone has royally fucked up between the two so it's either one of them or everyone has been feeding us a line & like the loyal fans we are we wanted to believe it.

It's early doors and they've had a fairly easy set of fixtures. But they do seem to have recruited well. Same with the Wurzels, who havd another goal from Dom Ballard tonight.

It's all a little bit depressing at the moment despite a steady start to the season. Unfortunately we are in the bottom bucket within this league with either clubs around us showing their intent but gambling on success eg Wurzels, or financing a decent recruitment through a big sale eg Jacks or Saints or still financed by parachute payments. Big question is are there 3 weaker squads than ours until the New Year, Preston maybe, Lincoln possibly but aside from that im not sure. A win tomorrow night makes a steady start a good start.

You were probably wrong yes and not for the first time I might add (although still an hr and a half to go). You were wrong though whilst continuing to talk to people like they are something stuck on the bottom of your shoe. All for having an opinion that's different (and now likley right) compared to yours.

That's what bugs me and I'm sure a fair few people on here. This would be a happier forum if you just reigned it in a bit and treated people with more respect. Less belittling and a bit more listening. Not sure you are capable of that though are you. That ego will always get the better of you!

It's certainly not gonna be happy tonight though and rightfully so. What an f'ing balls up this club has made of this window. 3 in a row now with next to nothing to shout about. Awful!!!

Who would blame him let's be honest. I'll wait the next media spin interview about how things didn't happen and he's happy with the squad anyway but been publicly saying to the board for players for months dropping it in interviews saying we need more players over and over .

There's no f*cking way on this earth he didn't have a list of players he wanted months ago in my opinion. He's been bummed from above with no backing to what he wanted I'm sure. No manager ever does not want better players :bluescarf:

Something has gone really wrong over the last few days, it might be Tan has simply lied and not given the amount promised or players simply not wanting to come here. You are correct though his stock is high I'm sure he could easily get another job at this level and while he can't come out and openly criticise Tan and the regime he doesn't need to cover for them like he has either if they've been spinning a line of bull. Tomorrow's interview after the game will be very interesting. Lots of conjecture here though about Choo ruining transfers, first I've heard of it is anyone itk? or is it guess work

Monty did you see the pictures of him and his wife relaxing at tans place? All can say must be best fake smiles in history?
Maybe something will come out that is true and not just blame board without justification.. bbm doesn't have to tow line his stock is so high he'll get a decent job so why not be honest with fans if wasn't backed? I know won't happen but honesty is sorely lacking at club.

For us to not bring anyone in maybe BBM wanted these players but the purse strings have not been released and BBM has thrown his toys out of the pram and said f.ck it i don' t want just anyone then which would put the ball back in choose and tans court

I would say the purse strings have a big f.ck off knot in them.

So you think Tan lied to BBM or that BBM lied to the fans about their meeting going well?

Could well be but it could also be he had a pretty short list and has been told no by everyone on it. I think his interview tomorrow (presuming we get one) will speak volumes, he took all the heat last week for being slow, if the club is at fault he really doesn't need to do that

Where’s all the communication from them ? What they planning ? what’s the ambition ?
Absolutely silence .
Disgraceful way to treat us fans , making us always guess as to what’s happening , always being let down and our promotion has kept them here for longer .
Is the plan to stay in championship and sell up ?

Richy perhaps BBM press conference tomorrow if there is one will reveal something but it may not even happen.

Would not be surprised if the problem was bbm just by going on his comments throughout this window? Kens involvement in transfers depends on who's doing the negotiations certainly bbm is doing the procurement he brought in someone specific to do it.... so is tan letting ken do financial side of things because by all accounts nothing happens without tans say so? Whatever the reasons its a real shame we are not bolstering squad for a push towards top 8.
