Re: WE ARE DESPERATE FOR ANOTHER STRIKER

I have never rated him with his feet , he used to be good in the air but that’s gone , needs to get his mojo back and get in there .
I’d love to have someone in who is good with the ball , a bit like the German we had before , he would fit lovely in the football we play now

His arial power has taken a big nock of confidence before his injury he powered into crosses and challenges that is not there now.

I don’t think he has a lot of arial power. Never has.
I think he’s very ordinary in the air.

I also think we need another striker because Davies isn’t good enough and neither is Robinson.

Cannot believe i half agree with you but I believe he was scoring quite a few in the air.

Bielik looks good in the air. Salech does get a few in mind, and he's got quick feet for a big bloke at times.

Agree we need another Robinson, and Davies not good enough, agreed. Ashford's better as a backup striker or alongside.

He's definitely lost something since his injury, I've said that for a while & I think it's his brain telling him it rather than ability. He needs a few sessions with a good sports psychologist, or just a normal psychologist.

Probably all Tan and Choo's fault, going by reading comments on this forum

Those 2 do have a lot to answer for.

No fan of them but sadly some have spent all summer constantly trying to point score against them.

I would say as high as 10 and as low as 17. It depends on injuries. I’ve been impressed with the boys so far and how they’ve handled the step up.

Jayden Wareham joined Wycombe from Exeter - 19 goals for a struggling team , could he have been a backup for Salech ?

Do people really think we will be getting 3 or 4 in? I think maybe 1 if we are lucky! As we all know what the clowns are like. I sincerely hope im wrong, but just waiting for the excuses once again

Yeah because nobody signs multiple players on deadline day

All people seem to care about these days is point scoring against the board, quite sad really.

I'm not fan of them but I also think the people constantly criticising them helps nobody. Makes fans look entitled and when there actually is something to be outraged about then it means nothing because some fans get outraged by literally everything - takes away the meaning.

I totally agree, but something just doesn’t seem right. If you look at my previous posts, I’ve been calling for patience, as I don’t buy into this idea that BBM hasn’t been backed.

I see our resilience in not selling our best talent as being just as important as making new signings. However, BBM has hinted in press conferences that he was promised support in the market, and some of his recent responses have raised a few questions.

I haven’t got the direct quote, but it was along the lines of expecting us to be busy because we hadn’t spent much so far.

If the rumours are true that Choo is stepping above his station and causing significant issues behind the scenes, then once again it would be a perfect example of people who know very little about football failing to grasp the importance of key moments when they really count.

My other concern is that BBM’s stock is rising quickly. How long will he want to stick around if he’s now experiencing a difficult relationship behind the scenes?

It’s all hypothetical, of course, but I just can’t see someone as methodical as BBM choosing to leave things until the final day of the window.

Great post and i have the same bad feelings about this transfer window. Come 11 o'clock tonight let's hope we're both wrong and a striker, winger and maybe one other are brought in, if not then the answer will be staring us all in the face.

So if we sign nobody today, you're happy?

That's a different question.

You said "Tan fails to back him".

What about Trott, Scanlon, Moylan and Bielik. Do they not count?

He may have not backed to the level that you like, but feel free to write the cheques and you can influence that.

Saying he has failed, is not accurate, is it?

Fair. I think everyone will be disapointed if we dont sign anyone else. Some will take it worse than others mind :happy1:

But any talk that he hasn't been backed is total nonsense.

If we can get a serious striker on par with salech or better and a right winger with serious pace and ability , I think our first 11 would be strong enough to go for to 8 , I say this after Saturdays performances, even tho we drew , that really was something to see , I believe there is something special happening here but if we don’t get anyone in , it’s going to be a hard season as I think our squad is too small , the championship is brutal

Where has Tan properly backed BBM?

If you really believe that then we will do well this season without a more signings.

Tan has backed Backed BBM, JOKE THE SEASON
