A lot riding on the further progression of our young players along with any loan players we recruit.
If we are top half, no one can complain.
However, if we are lower half, expect the pressure back on the owners and possibly the manager.

It works this way ,late window gets the best apprently from the prem .
Like the "Rosey" few have always said plenty of time left yet and you'll see BBM has been backed by the end of the window.
When in truth most knew what was coming before pre season even started because it was obvious although we still go eitherway unlike some they go only for what's on the pitch and what we have spent the glory few I call them. I mean we had two mods on here actually believing we bid 7m for one player who was coming. Hilarious stuff
That’s the second ‘pop’ you’ve had at myself and the other guy of late, Ian. I did note the comment you (embarrassing to yourself) made the other day. I put it down to your own frustrations that people had a different view, but it seems you have an agenda, and that hugely disappoints me!![]()
For the record, I had a usually reliable source for the information I put out, and I put a caveat on each post with some caution that whilst I believed it would happen, might not. Equally, I put out (more than one) message stating that I got that one wrong, that I was very disappointed with my source, and that I would be very careful in the future
Are other so contrite? And what would you have me do?
![]()
Not put information received out? Only stick to the confirmed facts? Only put out stuff, if it’s approved by the ‘Negativity Committee’ that seems to have gathered itself of late?![]()
There would certainly be little put on here to read and/or debate!
You’ll have your thoughts/beliefs, and I’ll have mine. That’s how it should be; preferably without resorting to the embarrassing diatribe to which you have (on these two specific occasions) resorted to!![]()

Agreed for me I can't see any blame being pointed at BBM at all if he's not given the tools to push on. Although he will have to adapt his systems and instructions game per game to get results that might be his downfall some may think. It's always good to see the younger ones proving themselves I find but as said many times on here it's not division 1 we are playing in now and we do have a lot of the same squad that went down from the championship. I'm sure BBM will get a better tune out of them than past managers either way

Clapped out fiesta and astra, Ramsey was an old Ferrari with a broken engine and gearbox packed with sand and grease

He (Ramsey) gave it a go back at his boyhood club, he did well when fit but was at the wrong end of an illustrious career for club(s) and country. Sad that you find his time here amusing; particularly when so many wanted him to stay and steer us forward as manager/coach
How short some memories are!

I like Ramsey, and he was quality once upon a time. For us, he was a massively expensive mistake; that's the point of the post, explaining that the loan market can protect us from these types of expensive mistakes and can also be seen as a positiveWakey wakey

I hope with a small pretty young squad we can stay fit and be competitive.
This is what I was expecting all along, we need fresh ownership who have some financial clout who can take us forward, we can't do it all the time with "no money"

‘We didn’t sign any acknowledged quality’?
What a strange post!
I’d say Trott, Scanlon and Moylan are quality.
The new guy Bielik certainly looks quality going on today’s performance.

Agree with all of that. It's also not true to say we haven't spent money.
We've spent money on Moylan, Trott and Bielik. People will argue about fees, but we have spent money.
Most loans aren't free these days either.

We have also spent less money on transfer fees than most other teams. Yes we've spent a little bit but it's not enough. The ambition by the club just isn't there.
The crazy thing is, if ever there was a time and a manager to really get behind financially, it's now while we still have BBM.
Look at the performance today, we were brilliant at times, we made Sheff Utd long bang average. Look at Wilders comments about us too. But the squad depth just isn't there. 3 to 4 more real quality signings would be massive...just can't see how the hierarchy are not seeing this...unless I'm 3 days premature in saying this of course.

Only a mistake in hindsight, but you are right, it was expensive. Not the first and likely not the last as risks are sometimes taken to get the best for our club; and a returning Ramsey was a big fillip at the time of signing, wasn’t he?
So I was right; he was a Ferrari, but broken and cost us a fortune
