Personally I don't agree and am disappointed with BBM.

I am a huge fan of his and very rarely criticise him but he always says he won't make knee jerk reactions in the transfer market and that's what this looks like.

Four CBs are enough, we don't need any more.

I agree , tough it out , and spend the money on attacking players

Get both, and midfielders but seeing as we have no central defenders left at all, that is obviously the biggest priority now.

I fail to see why anyone would question BBM over this decision.

For goodness sake we don't have a single fit centre back, the likelihood being that we are going to be without most of them for a considerable time.

He must know the prognosis of every one of the injuries and as a result has decided we must strengthen the defence immediately. Just common sense to me.

We have what I would deem as a defensive crisis at the club currently. Almost no fit first choice centrebacks.

Unless I'm missing something blindingly obvious, that's a major flaw in our ambitions to pick up some results early doors in the Championship.

I suppose we'll soon see how kneejerk BBM's potential reaction is after this weekend's match, particularly if we get tonked 3-0.

Has someone hacked his account?

Fish out for months
Lawlor out for an unknown period
Chambers dreadful at centre back last time we were in the Championship
Osho on crutches after Monday

BBM would be negligent if he didn't bring in a CB!

But don't worry Worcester - at the pace our transfers go we may get round to finding a new CB by the season after next.

It’s beyond strange. It’s almost like he criticising him now over absolutely nothing, as he’s a staunch defender of BBM and possibly feels he’s going to have egg on his face when he digs in to defend Murphy regardless, and will use this as a reference to say he will criticise Murphy when he’s wrong.

Of all the things to criticise Murphy he chooses him strengthening the defence at the end of a transfer window when we short on defenders. I wouldn’t be able to work in out if Murphy’s biggest critics said this let alone his biggest white knight. Some things not right here.

I'm sitting here thinking had Ned been sucking several heavy loaded bongs this evening. Carlton Morris will be rubbing his hands together in joy when he sees bagan and NG marking him on the weekend no doubt if derby set out to bully them in the air if that's the pair who play at CB for us as neither are center backs in my opinion but will play there probably anyway if are last remaining CB osho is out. Depends on how derby set up I guess :bluescarf:

Let's hope not - We have had plenty of time to sort this out and it's not just the defence but up top to .

Determining the likely hood of playing half a season with one fit CB(no return date set for Lawlor and Chambers, both having carried injuries before), and taking a measured approach to bring additional bodies into the squad to cover the position is sensible in my opinion

I tend to agree; with the thought that BBM knows his squad and its needs

Getting the ‘right’ players in is key for the good of his tight squad, and for the good of the club this season

I feel that right now, whoever he brings in will be greeted with disapproval and cynicism almost as much as much as if he doesn’t bring anyone in at all

The atmosphere on this summer’s transfer activity amongst some is pretty toxic at times, as it was last summer, and look how that panned out! :ayatollah:

If we tough it out like Worcester says we could be in a whole heap of trouble by the end of December. If we are in the bottom 3 at the end of the year we know how difficult it can be to get out of it by the end of the season.

We won't, and we wont be.

Maybe I was a bit harsh in saying I'd be disappointed with the manager.

I just don't think it's necessary and it felt a bit knee jerk and this is why.

We have four CBs which should be enough. The problem with having five would be that when everyone is fit then three won't be playing in every matchday. Of course the ones not playing could get a game in cup competitions or if there's rotation again, but it just makes me slightly worried.

But it does seem I'm in the minority on that when it comes to our fans.

At present we have zero fit centre backs and that is the issue here.

I could understand your point of view if say 2 of our CB's were nearing full fitness but that is clearly not the case.

If push comes to shove, a short term loan would probably suffice.

Alright, Fish is out until November.

But it doesn't seem Osho and Chambers are long term issues. They could both still be available tomorrow.

Lawlor obviously a bit more complicated.
