Remember you saying last summer that Plymouth and Luton had made loads of signings and we hadn't. Look how that turned out.

Of course the Championship is different but plenty of time.

Ffs dont you see it?. We play wrexham next monday EVERY other team in the division has significantly strengthened their squads we have signed moylan we are weaker than last season.

There's nothing I can say that I haven't already. The window doesn't close when we play Wrexham.

I'm sorry I don't follow the crowd and say what everyone else is saying.

I thought you said my view was the minority and yours was the majority thats how the transfer window works.

That was then, this is now.

People have clearly had their minds influenced by others which is a shame. But not me, I remain consistent with what I've said all along.

Give the fans and posters on this forum some credit they don' t need a numpty like me and you to influence them .

You might call yourself a "numpty" but I'm certainly not.

I'm disappointed so many have decided to follow the crowd.

Follow the crowd which crowd
Or gave tgey come to the same conclusion as me and some others who have genuine concerns that bbm would have liked his newbies in early and he has not got them ready for Monday at this rate we will have a bunch of kids on the bench once Monday.

So everyone that’s pissed off with the transfer window is following the crowd now? Don’t be daft. Like I said previously. It’s 3 days before the championship kicks off and we have a worse team than we did in league 1. Transfer window might come good before it shuts but in my opinion that’s too late.

Some players, and in my info, backroom staff in particular, are proving hard to attract.

The exodus of backroom staff and lack of replacements are part of the same theme, as mentioned here earlier.

Whilst I'm in the camp of wait until window is closed the concern as got to be if we don't get these players we obviously need
Until late into window we have 3 or 4 games already gone then its a case of bedding in coupl games ... at best be ok at worst can be far enough behind as to be playing catch up for rest of season? It really is a strange situation considering we thought bbm had finger on pulse as to what he wanted its becoming clear he's having difficulty getting in his choices otherwise they would be here by now with exception of loans possibly

Loans occurring this early are well down the pecking order at their parent clubs, who are happy for them to leave.

The Loans you get at the end of the transfer window were still in their managers mind until they bought in better late on

The same with buying now, players allowed to leave from higher clubs are already surplus to requirements.

The only current deals worth their salt are where clubs with large amounts of cash are forcing the hands of the parent club, who really don't want to sell.

This is your Prem teams using their muscle and going after the best of Europe. Also the likes of Boro who have sold a player for a massive amount.

I am pretty pumped that we bought a player whose parent club were desperate to keep him.

Why do players we want to sign have to be from higher clubs to improve us?

Do you not think that signing Tolaj or Ballard would have improved the squad? Indeed the player that you're happy we signed has come from a team at the same level as us.

I'm amazed that some seem to think that decent signings can only be made right at the end of the transfer window and that this is some sort of brilliant strategy by our club which means that we can have a successful season over 43 games when other teams have their squads ready for a 46 game season.

I'm amazed that some think it's about what the squad looks like before the first game that matters.

You mention specific players but maybe they're not BBM players.

Others have said this but it's true - people say they back BBM, but only when it suits them.

Why do any clubs bother signing players before the season starts?

Are they all just buying rubbish because you can only get quality right at the end of the window?

The players I mentioned were simply examples of decent players who are now settled into their new clubs, have trained with them for a number of weeks and are ready to go for a full season.

I trust BBM to know exactly what we need but I would also guess that he'd have hoped to be starting the season with more than one of the four or so new players that you yourself admit are needed to stregthen the team.

We're not just going for a standard championship player he is looking for the best we can get in our current state. Players will want to come here and we may have to wait but i really belive we will be excited by the time the window closes. Im sure he would be happy having his current squad for 3 games if it meant the signings he does get are absolute quality. Instead of signing someone now while still thinking he can get someone better.

So let’s say 3/4 games pass us by before anyone signs. Then you have to give the new signings time to settle in and get on board with what BBM wants from them. Plus match fitness if they Havnt played for their current clubs at start of season. We could be sacrificing 7/8 games before we even get a settled starting 11. It’s dreadful planning.

We could be sacrificing 7/8 games sure but we could also have players in before the absolute worse case scenario. I just get the feeling that he probably could have signed a few over the past weeks but is holding out for players who will really add something to the team. Moylan arrived almost out of nowhere and he scored within 5 minutes of his debut. We just don't know. In an ideal world I'd have loved all the players in by now but until we see what players we end up with it's hard to say it's all down to poor planning. BBM will be the first person to come out and say if he is not happy.

it has everything to do with looking at the harsh reality of the situation, and it's obvious to most fans that the situation is not in a good place right now. Good job we only play one of them Monday then isn't it. I cant predict the Wrexham game, us, a TEAM close knit that know their roles, Wrexham spending cash, big turnover in players and will likely need to gel (if you watch Welcome to Wrecsam last series) they struggled early doors. My view, we will beat them or draw. So one out of 3 games with an insufficient squad and unbeaten. Where's Captain Manwaring?

Signings create a feel good factor, but that quickly pops if they don’t hit the ground running.

I’m disappointed we’ve been so slow with getting players in, we’re obviously going to be getting 3-4 loans in which won’t happen until the end of the window, but with so many gone it’d have been nice to get replacements for them.

In terms of our team, with the players we are stuck with, is there many more we could buy and accept there’s players in the team who are just being paid to train and never feature?

I don’t think financially we are in a position to pay 2 players to do the work of 1. I’d rather not sign rubbish and pray some of the kids can bail us out

Well we are all 'dense' apparently MorgCCFC. I'm dense, your dense, we are all dense...well all those who heaven forbid have a difference of opinion to a certain person on here anyway.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll sign a few players so we can all move on and be happy, although that would mean our denseness is confirmed (which I'm sure we can all live with).

Wow the bickering on this forum is unbelievable at the moment.

I understand people’s frustrations with the lack of transfer activity (it’s starting to make me a little nervous) but I’m still hopeful that players will be signed that will improve our squad.

I will judge it at the end of the window.

I know there are a few games by then and if we lose etc it would be because of no new players……

What if we won all three of them games, would your opinions change? (Genuine question not me being sarcastic)

I am away on hols, so only checkin in every few days to see what's happening, and i am not surprised we haven't added anyone yet.

IMO we will get a few lads from Premier League clubs who have played a few Carabao Cup games and loads of U23 games that their club supporters would be reluctant to let go in case they turn good, but not good enough to be a starter (yet). We don't get a chance with those players until their club finalise their plans.

For example, I would not be surprised if we let Tanatswa Nyakuhwa leave in the next few weeks, but that depends on who we bring in. 2 wingers, and i think he'll be gone, but i doubt any team has bid, but he will be in L2 clubs' "potential lists" when we give the nod. Same with us, but in the Premier League.

We got Robertson as someone at Citeh put him on the leave list at the end of the season; those they are keeping get offered decent deals, leaving those in the middle without firm plans, so could go anywhere depending on the clubs intake.

One thing I know, BBM won't be signing Gary Madine in a panic.

Just read through this thread and I can’t believe all the bickering and people going after Worcester on here.

He has his views and he’s sticking to them and I respect him for that.
I’m absolutely in his camp that he wants to wait until the window closes.

Yes, I’m getting a little concerned but the vitriol of the usual few directed at him is unbelievable.
He’s just stating his opinion!

Roll on Wrexham anyway :bluescarf:
