I’m Def Impressed / How times change big time

People seem to as you say "detest them" but only because they are relatively successful at the moment & because of the tv show they are involved with. Up until the tv show there is barely a person on here that has given them a first thought never mind a second thought since the 70s/80s. Success before this was being in the old 3rd division & playing us in the very odd FA cup game on the very rare occasions that they got past the 2nd round.

I will be honest I’m jealous, as I wish we had their owners and not ours.

But I don’t like that the majority of their fans are Everton, Liverpool and Man United

I'm not jealous of them. Always said that I don't want high profile owners, that's why I was so against the Bale thing.

They're having success and fair play to them, but just my personal opinion that I wouldn't want it. Problem they'll have is when they get to the PL.

The top clubs have managed to get all the other clubs to vote for a financial system that means nobody can break into their little club like Man City did. Newcastle have found that out and why they've had to sell their best players.

Well give me their owners any day over our Dictatorship who stripped us of our identity

My point is it's not either/or.

When and if Tan sells, I would prefer he sells us to someone unknown than a media circus - even if it meant we had less money.

You’d. Can say hand on heart you’d rather stay as we are than have owners like them two that would would put the club up a few levels.

I'm saying I wouldn't want any sort of high profile owners. You've gone back to what I said about that (which I still say the same), you could also go back to last summer when I was strongly against the idea of Bale buying the club.

A couple from Texas who are moving permanently to Wrexham after discovering the city on the "Welcome to Wrexham" documentary series say it gives them a "feeling they haven't had anywhere in the USA".

Jeff and Janice Ivey, from New Braunfels, loved watching the Disney show that follows the story of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac's stewardship of the football club.

After visiting Wales seven times in the past two-and-a-half years, they have fallen head over heels with the city, its people and heritage.

Jeff, 62, who has UK citizenship from his Scottish ancestry, is currently in Wrexham house-hunting, while Janice, 65, is in the USA selling their home and awaiting her visa.

Jeff said they first visited in 2024 after watching an episode of the series featuring Wrexham band the Declan Swans, and they bought some of their merchandise.

But when the package arrived there was just one hoodie inside instead of the two expected.

Jeff emailed and another sweatshirt was sent, but the correspondence between him and the band's singer, Michael Hett, continued - and it was he who suggested the couple should visit.

"If the order had come just fine, I would have sent an email saying, 'hey, thanks, got it,' and that probably would have been it," said Jeff.

"Because we had to keep emailing after that, it really piqued our interest."
