I believe he will build a dynasty like Arsene Wenger did with Arsenal.
Building a future team with young dynamic well coached players. :bluebird:

I hope you're right but I think if he's as successful as we all hope he is then bigger clubs will be taking an interest sooner rather than later.

When was the last time a club wanted to steal our Manager?

I see it as a massive positive; to me, BBM seems a real, honest, quite humble manager. I think he intends to see it through if he can, unless a mega offer comes in. I think we have him for a few more seasons, and I think he and Tan are building towards a promotion before the end of the contract.

And there we have it.

One poster turning the great news that everyone is happy about and putting a negative slant on it and the other poster being positive but realistic!

Always glass half empty for some.

I guess you haven't read my first post on this thread although no doubt you think that's filled with negativity also.

I would have thought that realistically if BBM is as successful as we all want him to be (including me with my glass half empty  ) then surely other bigger teams will be looking at a young manager who gives youth a chance, works well within a budget and plays an attractive style of football. What's unrealistic about that?

Am I not allowed to have that opinion without being referred to as "glass half empty" as you also did in another thread?

I did not say he'd go. I did not say I'd want him to go. In fact I said in my post that I hoped that bluebirdrob was right in what he said.

Still you seem to want to look for negativity in everything I post - that's up to you. No doubt you'll agree with Sven when he says that I post nothing of any value. Fair enough.

I say things as I see them and in my opinion. If you disagree that's fine and that's your opinion. Sometimes I'll feel extremely positive about what's happening at the club and sometimes I won't.

Those who are constantly "glass half full" are lauded as being true supporters whereas those perceived as being in any way negative towards the club are constantly criticised by those claiming some sort of moral high ground.

I don’t know about Sven or other posts my point was we get some good news and you turn it into a negative thing.

That’s your opinion and of course you’re allowed I’m not questioning that.

Of course our manager and any of our players could be bought with big offers from big clubs at any time but, personally, I’d rather concentrate on the good news rather than looking for bad news that may or may not come in a year or two.

I have absolutely no idea about your comment on ‘glass half full’ being lauded as being true supporters. No clue what that means at all.
Moral high ground? You must be talking about other posters who upset you.

We’re all supporters on here whatever our views some are just more positive than others. It’s life.

You're trying too hard to find negativity where there is none.

I was simply replying to an earlier post suggesting that the manager would build a dynasty like Wenger did at Arsenal. I replied that I hoped he would but that was unlikely for the reasons I gave. I'm not sure how that's negativity but you clearly see it that way. It's okay to talk about the future in a positive way saying a dynasty may be created but if you happen to disagree then that's the dreaded "negativity".

I'm sure everybody else on this board is tired of you and I bickering on this so let's leave it at that shall we?

I hope we can both agree that BBM signing a new contract is very good news and we both hope that the club are successful for a long time under his leadership.

To be honest I never read that post but I have now and I think that’s a stretch too far to compare but who knows! :D

Sure I didn’t think it was bickering just two different views as our outlooks are very different.
But yes we can leave this discussion as it is. I have no problem with it or with you and yes, let’s hope it’s onwards and upwards

That sounds a good outcome for all.
