but we play our last friendly saturday still no one in, even replacing the 2 we have lost and 3 weeks away from our wrexham game.

To be fair, I wouldn't say that people (like you) who have wanted movement sooner have been moaning or been negative this summer. I get why people are frustrated.

I just feel that if we want to add genuine quality then maybe some of these deals are taking time and it's better to wait to get the best players.

The other side of that is it would be worrying to go into the Wrexham game with only Trott signed. Like I said, this saga with the Tromso player is going on very long.

Hopefully we do get some signed soon. We all agree that players need to come in.

Call me old fashioned but I always thought preseason was for new players to gel

It used to be; most clubs now have to wait for the Premier League super squads to decide who they can afford to sell and loan once they have done their business. We need to balance books and comply with FFP; it's certainly changing and getting later and later year on year.

I do not believe BBM walks on water as many do, but he knows what he wants. He doesn't panic and treats the money as if it is his. He is building his reputation as well as the clubs, and being good with transfers is a brilliant attribute.

I think Vinny will splash for u23's as I think he'll want the club to be self-financing through buying players and selling them on with huge mark-ups. Many fans moan we are a selling club; we are not; we are a Bosman or pay-off club because we panicked and signed anyone to get bodies in. Thats not happening anymore with this bloke in charge.

The Premier League and top half championship contracted U23s are always open to transfers as soon as those clubs work out who they are keeping; I think that's where we recruit from, but this will be close to the window closure or even January.

That's the way I see it, and the main positive is that he will try to buy as wisely as possible and get good value for his budget; gone are the days of "let's grab a Parkin or Madine and waste a fortune".

That said, I want the players in quickly as much as you all do.
