Ned I agree with you 100%.

People can’t seriously think that Trump “just asked” about the red card. We all know that’s not how he operates, see his impeachment over Ukraine.

Obviously some sort of “deal” was made, though obviously Infantino shouldn’t have given in.

Anyone defending this as Trump getting stuff done is a disgrace.

Time for UEFA to threaten to pull out of FIFA and set up an alternative world body unless the corrupt people who run it resign. Others will all follow suit if UEFA did pull out as the money is in Europe.

Trump confirms he spoke to infantino asking infantino to review the suspension! But says he did not ask for it to be overturned that was a decision for commission? Only problem with that is the rules of WC specifically says auto 1 match ban no appeal no commission to set how long ban is....
Infantino is using a generic rule that doesn't apply to WC ? I'm thinking the two of them are trying to work position that the ban is reinstated while getting them out of a hole they dug

He's talking bollocks there is no disciplinary process to recind the suspension once red card confirmed (that's in WC rules) that's why they suspended the ban rather than recind the red card simply because they didn't have the authority to do that.

It's politicians meddling in sport & this is the exact reason the rule was introduced. Two corrupt individuals meddling for their own ends.
