Thank you for making me laugh.
We must have looked frightening on the terraces back in the day,we won't go into the haircuts!!

Such a mix those days when I look back at old pics of those days we always used to have our scarfs draped down our legs from our belts.

If there were no birds "girls" around you usually ended up with number 6 or if you were short of cash number 10s or worse gold packet of sovereign cigarettes.
Chris must have looked a dick,

Forgot to add brut/& denim aftershave

And after seeing the adverts with a load of girls chasing some bloke banging on a pipe smoking Bruno roughest I actually saw young men trying to smoke pipes .
Its usually cannabis today in a pipe
My mate tried a pipe sparked it up in a pub but had no tobacco,
but he had knicked a handful of tea bags from somewhere,
and his pipe had a lid on it ,
he opened it up setting light to the tea bags stuffed in the pipe hilarious caught fire I could'nt stop laughing ,
What the f.ck was said a lot that day ,great memories.

I did also try some of my old man's aftershave OLD SPICE no wonder my mother left him,
bloody awful stuff, hi karate was also another newbie smell equally shite.

One Saturday I had my hair cut like david Bowie before hitting the terraces !!
That is definitely cringe worthy.

A lot had them shaved on the top then spiked up anther was the rod Stewart haircut like a welsh guard some turned out.
My mate wanted a Bowie cut he took a picture from a magazine and took it to the hair dresser he had a mass of wiery curly hair and she took one look and then, it was a shock to hear a grown woman swear but she said what the f.ck do you exspect me to do with that I felt for him then poor lad.

Whenever I see that picture of us fighting the Manure fans my first thought is always "how ridiculous did we look back then?" with the platform shoes, flares & haircuts and not forgetting the obligatory scarf/scarves tied around the wrist & one around the neck all sort of puffed up at the front. Then I was a punk & we moved to Scotland which was a nightmare for a schoolkid like me at my age. Did get to see a few punk bands at the Glasgow Apollo & had some crazy nights including being backstage at the Sham 69 farewell concert with 2 of the Sex Pistols, they did 1 in London & 1 in Glasgow if I remember correctly and the Glasgow one was chaos afterwards.

Moved back to Barry & went from punk to biker in the 80s, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Queen etc. unlike most of you who seem to have gone the other way musically. Had very long curly blonde hair just like Peter Frampton on the cover of the Frampton Comes Alive album. if anyone remembers it.

What a fking numpty I was back then, and still are sometimes but now I'm too old to care what people think of me as I'm sure most in our 60s are. :D :D :D :D

Would never have thought in a million years that flares would make a comeback but they seem to be the only style worn by young girls nowadays.
