8pm on a Monday, shocker! No consideration for how far away Wrexham is. Won’t blame them if they didn’t sell their allocation.

For those complaining about it being Monday night, Sky obviously wanted to show it. That's their right, EFL clubs get plenty of money from Sky.

It couldn't be Sunday because the Community Shield is on in Cardiff that day.

So they were left with Friday, Saturday or Monday. First Friday night is always a relegated team - Wolves in this case.

Bolton v Preston is the Saturday live game, sort of a local derby (more so than Cardiff v Wrexham) so police probably said it couldn't be an evening kick off.

Just because sky wanted to show it doesn’t make it right. They don’t think of the fans.

I agree that the fans have a right to complain. The clubs don't, because they're the ones that agree to the TV deals.

It's the reality of modern football expect Sky to move your games to stupid times and days. Still expect it to sell out

Agree, although not sure a complete sell out is likely. Probably 23k+ although would hope more.

Night games a nightmare for me because no trains back, but always try and do five or six a season. Already sorted out accommodation plans for this one.

I wouldn't go that far! I know Monty travels a long way and Annis too, I'm sure there are others too. But thank you.

I agree Monty. World Cup is great but nothing like going along to watch City. Fair play to you for travelling like you do :thumbright:

The more I think about it, the better an opening fixture it becomes

The Wrexham circus can roll into town for what will be hyped as another team’s ‘Welsh Cup Final’, and we can get on with the rest of our season

Monday night is not going to be great fur many; particularly those who travel distances, but the crowd at the CCS really should be a good one, given our return to the Championship, the school holidays, the opposition, and our love for Cardiff City FC  :bluebird:
