Agree. Enjoyed the first 20 minutes. Salford probably the better team so far but good to see both teams going for it.

He's done alright. Commentator on Sky mentioned that he hasn't played much recently so may be a bit rusty.

But looks quick and works hard for the team with stuff like making tackles.

More goals than all of the games together so far. A much better game for the neutrals.

Salford take a one goal lead into their home second leg, after winning 2-1 at Grimsby.

Chesterfield v Notts County at 6pm is the last first leg.

Some cheating from the Salford player with 1 minute to go there, holding his head on the ground when Grimsby were attacking until the ref blew for a head injury & then he's straight up bouncing around. Surely there's a way to stop this kind of blatant cheating. I don't know why but it really annoyed me today.

I agree, got to feel a bit for Grimsby as well with that second goal. Poor officiating

With all the first legs completed, all six semi finals are in the balance.

In the Championship, both ties are at 0-0.

In League One, Bolton are 1-0 up from their home tie and Stockport ahead by the same scoreline from their away game.

In League Two, Salford are 2-1 up from their away game and Notts County are 1-0 ahead from their away first leg.

Second legs take place across this midweek, starting with Millwall v Hull on Monday night.

Nothing could be more boring than watching these 2 trying not to lose rather than trying to win.

Think it'll be different tonight.

First legs are always cagey, different story in the second legs.

Guaranteed it'll be 0-0 again now I've said that

I was hoping Millwall could go up, they would've shaken things up a bit

Second leg of Southampton v Middlesbrough at 8pm, with the score at 0-0.

Live on Sky Sports as usual.

Southampton were obviously charged by the EFL of spying on Middlesbrough ahead of the first leg. Middlesbrough are pushing for the maximum penalty, which would be Southampton being excluded from the play-offs - so Southampton could win tonight and later be replaced in the final by Middlesbrough.

Personally I think that's unlikely, a large fine and possible small points deduction for next time Southampton are in the EFL seems most likely.

But it does add extra spice to tonight's second leg.

Cracking game, it's only been a season away, and I am impressed with both teams' athleticism.

Faster, stronger, with good technique compared to L1.

(I know this is obvious)

2-1 SOTON.

Cross into the box , missed by the centre half, and the keeper was flat-footed (27 mins ET)

I think the guy behind him shouted for him to leave it thinking it would go out of play.

Such a poor goal for Middlesbrough to concede but like the commentators said, they're all knackered.
