Reading started the better of the teams , with a few openings. Cardiff just being outmuscled in the early throes of the match.

Reading should be ahead. Lewis Wing puts a deep free-kick in to the back post and it's knocked back into a dangerous area. Jeriel Dorsett rolls his marker and has a clear opening from a couple of yards out - he skies it!

Perry Ng then has to produce some top defending to stop a Reading breakaway. Andy Rinomhota, the former Bluebird, almost latched on to a pass which would have sent him clean through on goal.

Huge chance! Rubin Colwill release Ollie Tanner down the right and he sprints away. He drives into the box and sends a shot across goal, which sees Joel Pereira parry into a dangerous area.

Chris Willock looks destined to put it into the back of the net but Andy Rinomhota, from nowhere, slides in for Reading to put it out for a corner. Incredible defending from the former Cardiff man.
