You clearly haven't seen many games this season. Salech is too weak and gets bullied most games and those Lincoln CB's would have made mince meat out of him.

Barryblues has an agenda mate and seems to be sticking to it.

Given up trying to reason with it. And his patronising tone to me is funny more than anything.

Re: Missed salach

The spine of the team is so important; that's what Salech or any proper striker gives you. Against the lesser teams, we get away with our possession and overloads, pulling them all out of shape. Against compact, athletic, organised teams, we stuggle and then the lack of a proper striker kills us.

Where Davies? It doesn't have to be a beast, a speedset showing to run behind occupies the centre half enough.

Salech living rent free in your head again. We obviously missed him today

Just had a look at the stats and the amount of crosses we put into the box was very high and you have to wonder if we had an actual striker who attacks the box would he have got on the end of one

It's a shame we never signed another striker as Robinson proved when he came on ,he is not salec 2.

I think BBM bottled it yeserday thinking he could get all his best players on the pitch, and they'd outclass them, but I believe he always thought Kellyman and Davies would deputise.
I am a massive Davies fan, but his lack of soundness is a concern for a professional footballer.

The crosses went in because we had our amazing superstar who is 6”2 and will gobble up. We played under instruction that eve thing goes through Rubin. We didn’t miss salach we played Rubin.
Mods can we accurately rename this thread please. To “played rubin”

Totally agree Ned. Those Lincoln CB's would have made mince meat out of him, he wouldn't have had a sniff of the ball today.

We missed Kellyman up front and Tanner on the right. Simple!

Exactly.

We can argue about whether or not a striker should have been brought in (I think the right decision was made) but Salech would have got nothing today.

How do you know he wouldn't have got anything? Salech is a big lump, our top scorer and a threat in front of goal. He scored at Stockport and they had two big centre backs.

And what happened to him against Stockport at home?

Freak accident in a 50/50 challenge and received a nasty injury. You need an early night!

And you need to wake up to modern football.

We were just stifled today, that's all.

We'll move on and still get promoted.

Bet you didn't think we missed Salech at Doncaster.

Ha ha the irony when we were playing against a team today who play the opposite to modern day football. I've enjoyed the football since Salech has been out but for you to say he wouldn't have had a sniff today when it was obvious we needed a presence in the box is ridiculous. You're talking about our top scorer with biggest physical attributes.

What you on about modern day football?

Define that.

The champions elect play a similar style of football to Lincoln. Crikey, until this season we did.

Re: Missed Salech

The cusp? Verge or threshold?

8 points pal. Gotta lose three games and Bolton win three to make that happen. 21st March at the earliest.

It won’t.

But if it does do we get on the manager’s back?

Re: Missed Salech

It's a 95-100 minute, game these days
Plan B at the moment is throw Robinson on and hope for the best
Plymouth & Lincoln are the warning signs

He made it clear his idea behind Robinson coming on.

It’s worked more often than it hasn’t.

We are allowed to lose games of football.

It won’t.

But if it does do we get on the manager’s back?

No we get at Tan and the board.

BBM would have got a striker in if he was allowed.

You are completely making that up though.

No he hasn't but come on mate, do you really think a professional manager chasing promotion wouldn't have wanted to add a striker to his squad after his top scorer got injured in January, especially as Robinson is his only other out and out striker.

It’s not definite though is it. Bring someone in as good as Kellyman and/or Robinson isn’t cheap and then what happens when Salech is fit? We have a potential issue that BBM has said all year he didn’t want.

We are assuming.

Yes we are assuming, we are assuming BBM is ambitious and wants promotion and will spend the funds available after his top goal scorer is injured and doesn't know how long he'll be out for.

We are assuming he wouldn’t say Anything if he was denied from bidding for strikers. January is notoriously bad. Who in our division signed any striker? I know Bradshaw went to Barnsley and I think he would have been alright. But not sure who else was available.

Ethan Wheatley went to Bradford I felt he gave us a rough time away at Northampton

Rightly or wrongly, I am assuming there was no money available in January for BBM to buy a striker or even add a freebie to the wages, hence my earlier post that we go for Tan and the board and not BBM who has done an amazing job.
