DONCASTER WE NEED TO BE FOCUSED ON ,NOT LINCOLN

I imagine they have quite a humbling individual and team game debrief on Monday. I don't know why BBM left Wintle and Fish out; maybe it was a challenge to Chambers, Osho, and Robertson to see if they could cope with this type of team. He must have one eye on next season, where the opposition will have greater skill and physicality.

Very few of us were convinced about Chamber at centre half last season, and the last 2 games have resurfaced, showing he is a converted full-back. He is too slow for a DCM nowadays, but is good with the ball, so BBM probably sticks with him as we won't meet that many good big lads this season.
I think Osho is a second centre half, he needs a dominant big lad next to him, and we know he can do it from his Luton seasons. I think Willock has drifted out of form, and i am not sure Bagan trusted him much yesterday; he was back to his dithering worse; the left were terrible yesterday.

Robertson (IMO) is a lovely footballer, but not a 6 yet. He is the top of the double pivot without doubt, a great battler, mobile, accurate passer, and can knock a goal in. But I think he is slow to sniff trouble and snuff it out. Turnbull is a luxury player, if the centre halfs and DCM are dominent he can find space and make us tick, this didn't happen.

I am a massive defender of Rubin, but he is one hell of a unit to get match fit, and he looked well off it yesterday.

You learn more from the losses. The lineup against Donny will be interesting.

Another great post llan bluebird. Agree with everything your saying there on how you view the players...apart from the Rubin bit. Will probably get shot down for this but, although he looks unfit, I still thought his cameo on Saturday was a quality one, the guy just oozes class for me.

Turnball is the frustrating one coz I think he's a special player. Arguably one of the most gifted in this league...but he just doesn't have a backbone does he. Without the ball, against a physical team, there is just no point having him in the squad (Willock a bit like that too).

Rubin didn't do anything wrong to be fair but you can tell he's still off the pace. I would bring him off the bench again at Doncaster and then hopefully will be closer to a position to start.
