It would be 100% down to BBM he has worked miracles this season, what backing has Tan given BBM since the summer.??

Although I'm a little disappointed not to see an extra experienced striker arrive at the club, I now think we have enough quality in the squad to ensure promotion this season.
Bringing in Trott and Kellyman on loan during the summer to supplement our current squad has made all the difference; along with the organisational skills of this manager.
However, as these two players will be gone in the summer, it is essential that substantial funds will be made available to strengthen the squad to avoid a struggle next season.
Without that, I can see BBM wanting to move to a more ambitious club.
I have my doubts whether these funds will be made available without the sale of one or two of our promising youngsters.

I think January purchases can be damaging ,they effect squad togetherness, send younger talent backwards, add bloated ego's ,cause jealousy with wage gaps ,end up with washed up players looking for a final pay day.

Sorry this window was piss poor and the dictator needs to go
That's the annoying thing. For a relatively small outlay we could have gone from probable promotion to almost certainty and from a business point of view it was a no brainer.

How did Tan ever make money? It certainly wasn't from any business acumen
You don’t know that though do you? If only it was that easy.

Not sure you can have it both ways.
Kept our best players.
There have been bids for Salech and probably other players too. We haven’t sold anyone.

First we should not be in this league anyway that was 100% Tan
BBM applied for the Job and accepted their will be No money needed that suited Tan

I never expected good football hard working players and a great manager , thats what we got its a pleasure to come to the stadium week in week out , weve been starved of that for many years enjoy it .
Tan why has it taken you £100 million at least wasted on below par managees/players filling there pension pot that dicision makers in this club are not up too
In BBM We trust anyone above we dont , enjoy the future with this great manager and his team

This is completely overblown. We needed left back cover we got it. Already have the best squad in this league by a country mile, didn't sell anyone, huge gap to 3rd. We didn't need anyone else we've got 4 players who can play up front and that's for one spot
Tue Feb 03, 2026 11:33 am
I have a mixed feelings about this window. It feels like an opportunity missed to go from promotion probables to certainties, but there hasn’t been signings our competitors have made where I thought ‘we should have got him’.
We addressed the key area of LB and another striker would have been nice, but maybe the right type of player just wasn’t available.
Having said that I may have tested Leyton Orient’s resolve to keep Dom Ballard as I think he has been the best individual opposition player I have seen this season

Happy not to lose our best players.. they've done well so far rubin coming back osho and Lawler.. Iscanlon 'm happy

I was informed this morning that Salech could be out for a couple of months. Apparently this is from Salech himself, hope not and if true beggars belief how we haven't brought another forward in.
Tue Feb 03, 2026 12:46 pm
I think the reason some of us are dissapointed is that our rivals have all strengthened whilst already closing the gap
We are a few Injuries suspensions away from trouble, Saturday just showed how much we struggle against physical teams without Salech and if he is out for a while it seems silly we didn't get in a replacement
All those defending tan let's see if you change your opinion in a month's time if we're sat in the play off spots due to injuries and suspensions

That’s my biggest worry, more injuries and a couple of suspensions and those that back Tan not to fund us will as usual go hiding away.
We needed Strengthening.

Just hope Salech & Colwill senior are back soon.
The books have to be balanced
17000 at the last home game was pathetic
Tue Feb 03, 2026 1:29 pm
Just check out some of the League 1 blogs. It is generally acknowledged by them that we have the strongest squad with higher quality players and in less need to strengthen than any of our rivals.
Yes, if someone like Keiffer Moore had become available at a knockdown price, we would have been foolish not to go for him bearing in mind the uncertainty over Salech's injury. But these type of players are not readily available in the January transfer window so why risk possibly disruption to a side that has no problem finding the back of the net.
Tue Feb 03, 2026 2:03 pm
Its my belief that if BBM had found the player he wanted and that player was available and wanted to come then Tan would have backed him.
Its very

Should we go up this year he hasn’t backed bbm in the transfer window so if tan doesnt buy players next season to strengthen squad bbm might decide to go elsewhere if he does stay and still no players strengthen squad we could go straight back down

BBM said himself (last week) that he was training with the rest of the squad so I find that really odd. Don’t believe all that you hear mate.

I hope you're right as he is our no 1 striker.

If we go up it will be in spite of Tan, not because of him. It will be 100% because of BBM.
I predict more demonstrations soon to ensure this dictator and his part time Junta leaves in the Summer.
Tan has two choices if we go up. Invest or sell. If he does neither then his contempt for the fans becomes palpable.
Those who still back him....Can I ask why? And what has he done over and above what every owner of every club is obliged to do?
Tue Feb 03, 2026 3:21 pm
Another absolutely ridiculous, embarrassing thread.
We're becoming the most entitled set of fans in the country. BBM said he wanted a left back and a keeper. He got a left back and a keeper.
BBM said no one comes in unless they meet all non-negotiables and will be able to improve the starting 11.
What League One signings would have improved our starting 11 that you are all crying about us missing out on?
We have a ton of very highly rated young players. We kept all of them and have set up long-term contracts for most of them as well.
The manager got players that met his non-negotiables in the two positions he openly stated he wanted. Anything else would've been cream but it wasn't a bad window.
Honestly, I think there is a large chunk of posters on here that would prefer to see us fail so they can have another excuse to have a pop at Tan.
I don't particularly like the guy, but with the club back in blue, a slightly-disinterested hands-off owner funding the club for £300K a month is not that much of an issue. Like someone else said - if any of you moaners wanna chip in with your own £300K a month, go for it.
(and the same old boring accustions of being a Tan lover from the same usual suspects begin in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....)

There’s nobody backing Tan now. He needs to go.
You ask what has he done over and above what every owner of every club is obliged to. Isn’t that the point and point of difference though. He has been relatively stable when many other clubs are having massive issues with their owners having the money to pay bills. We aren’t having those issues.
Hell, we have had multiple issues with our owners having to sell captains close to deadline day to pay the bills, or every season having to sell our best player until we no longer have saleable assets so have to piss away the season ticket money for the next five years.
Careful what we wish for all I will say. Sheff Wednesday fans probably think what the fook are you all moaning about.
Tue Feb 03, 2026 3:30 pm
From my take listening to bbms interviews leading up to transfers in Jan he was keen to get left back cover tick done he always said smaller squad was better to organise because easier keeping players happy so for me I wasn't expecting much business not surprised in the slightest
I said months ago I believe in him now I didn't at the start didn't like rotation all the time but it's worked I can't complain we top of the league we have rubin back soon so onwards and upwards blooobirds

Agree, Tan has made many mistakes and been Burt by many managers he has given a chance in the past, keeping this squad and these players, was backing the manager in both windows, we did that and added some younger players which BBM wanted, any league one manager would love this squad.
Why buy players in this window that won’t be good enough if we go up, and waste money doing so, if BBM really wanted just numbers for the shake of it, he would have been backed, however he has always been very clear quality over quantity. Next season if we go up, Tan will need to back the manager, but this season for me he has been by keeping what we did, at this level very good players that with the right management can do well at the next.
Tue Feb 03, 2026 4:38 pm
There's nothing self entitled about wanting to make sure we have enough strength in depth to get over the finish line
If we fail to go up this season I really feel we will be stuck down here for years, it now or never for me
